Great finishes. To finish a project you have had for 21 yrs. Must be so satisfying. I don t have any wips that old as I have been stitching for only 6 yrs. Loved everything you shared.
So glad you are back! Love the finishes and the book talk! You do some amazing projects. Congratulations on finishing your 2003 project. Its absolutely beautiful what an accomplishment.
Great to see and hear from you again. Loved seeing the progress on your stitching and your finishes. The 2003 one! That finish is undoubtedly very special. I too have so many patterns I want to stitch but will never accomplish because there are too many. And I still buy some like the Stacy Nah ones. Happy stitching for the summer and till your next flosstube. Maud
Thank you Maud! Yes….I was very happy to finish the 2003 project. I’ll need to pull out my next oldest soon but I’m giving myself a little reprieve on that for now. There are so many good designs out there I want to stitch! Too bad we can’t stitch while we sleep. Or grow a few more pairs of hands. Stacy Nash has been really calling to me recently. She’s been knocking it out of the park imo.
Hi Amy, welcome back. It’s great seeing you and the whips and it sounds like you had wonderful time with both of your retreats and of course, all the stitching is wonderful happy stitching. Cheers.
So loved seeing your projects, and you totally blow me away with how much you have stitched this year compared to me. The Mary Peacock is so beautiful as is the Bird of Paradise and the border is so unique great find. Hope you have a amazing day!
Thank you Laura! It’s amazing how the stitches add up. Because day to day I feel like it’s nothing (and there are many days where it’s only 10-20 stitches) but they do add up. Working on a limited amount of projects has really helped me see progress this year and is working for me right now. And yes…love both Mary Peacock and the bird of paradise. I want to start them both and have them hanging on my wall.
Loved seeing your beautiful stitching, finishes and wips! I felt similarly about The Women. It was a book club pick so i read it (my first Kristin Hannah). The subject matter was compelling and an important story but the writing was somewhat cliche and simple. Thanks for sharing xx
Good to see you again! Your projects are beautiful!! You ave done a ton of stitching!!!!! Great job! Can't wait to see your end of year parade! Oh are so close on a couple of those they can be done.
Thanks Julie! Yes…so close I’ve finished two since I filmed ! 🤦🏽♀️ hopefully that will push me to film sooner rather than later and continue finishing things instead of starting more🙃
I've heard a lot of people recommend The Frozen River. I'm in the middle of a series, but it's on my list for when I'm done. Always love seeing your ginormous wips! 😘
What series are you in the middle of? Because I love book recommendations. And you know me….I love big WIPs and I can not lie…..Hope to catch up with you soon 😘
Hi Amy I just love your Finishes - they are so beautiful. Love your WIPS - Beautiful Progress on them. They are so pretty. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🧵🪡🧵✂️❤️
Great video. Love all your projects. Martha Ballard is a distant relative of mine. My mother was from Maine and her family came from a long lineage of farmers in mid maine. Thank you for talking about this book!!
Thank you Karin! It was great to meet you too. Are you going back next year? I have to confess…I’m already looking forward to it. And I still want to start that Gigi R sampler.
Thank you! And they sinned is so beautiful stitched up. Thinking about that is what is motivating me to keep it out and work on it. It is a fun stitch. Just not a quick one.
Hi Amy! Congratulations on your finishes, and on all your great progress on your WIPs! So happy for you that the 2003 over one piece is finally done! I enjoyed your book talk too...I read quite a bit of Kristin Hannah back in the day. Don't get much reading done now, as I prefer to spend my time stitching. But The Frozen River sounds intriguing! Are you heading back to Stitch NJ this year? Hope to see you there. Take care!
Hi Maureen! Unfortunately I can’t go to NJ this year 😭. I’m really disappointed I couldn’t make it work. We have a lot of family stuff this summer and I just couldn’t fit it in. Do lots of stitching for me and tell everyone hi for me too. I don’t read as much as I used to either. Stitching typically beats reading. I need to try to get back into audiobooks so I can do both but I’m not an auditory learning so I have a hard time following a lot of audiobooks. I’ve made an effort this year to read before bed this year and I’m getting a bit more reading done and really enjoying it so it’s been working for me so far. Happy stitching. Enjoy NJ retreat. I hope to be back next year 🤞
Lol no worries- I’m almost finished w Grant and haven’t started Lincoln. My projects are also out of sight out of mind, which is how I can have 170 wips🤣🤣🤣 Ooh I want to start Miss Hazel next- lmk when you’re starting!
So if I pick up Grant soon and finish it I won’t be behind 🤣🤣. Miss Hazel soon. But not yet. Need to finish the ones that are close. I’ll let you know when so we can SAL
@@gablesstitcher3325 yes I didn’t want to leave my sal buddy discouraged, so I’m pacing myself😄 Looking forward to Miss Hazel- I want to convert her even more to look like Miss Sally from the book CO cross stitcher showed. Which means green apron is all she’s wearing. So that adjustment will take awhile to chart😅 Also- 4 parts in ink circles sal should count as a finish even though you didn’t count it as a start😂😂
@@gablesstitcher3325 I just finished Bobbin and have a few more hours on Whittaker the snowman-he’s lots of fill in. I also have a bunny I loaned out but haven’t stitched yet that’s coming back to me. I wonder if I have a cat in my stash too🙃
Actually House of the Seven Gables from Salem MA. Made “famous” by Nathaniel Hawthorne’s book. I’m glad you found me ❤️. Coral Gables sounds like a fantastic trip…but not in July! I would love to visit Miami some day. Thanks for watching.
I love Sunday morning memories! So pretty.
Beautiful projects and love your stitching philosophy, and great book talk! ❤
Loved seeing your WIPS and finishes! Your touching the autumn sky is so close!!
Beautiful WIPs, Amy! Thanks for the book recommendations. Love your channel.

great stitches and loved your book recap - might have to go pick one of those to add to my vacation reading

Amy, your pieces are beautiful❤ It must feel so good to have your 2003 piece completed🎉 Thanks for sharing your book choices too.
Thank you! Really happy to have the old piece done….now to not wait 20 years to frame it! And I’m glad you liked the book recommendations ❤️

Miss you my friend too 😘😘
