  • Sana Yawanawa and Vesku Yawanawa daughters of Tika Matxuru Wanipashutia Yawanawa sing Noma Sanaiko in the Amparo Village in the Yawanawa Indigenous Reserve on Sept 28, 2021.
Children of the Rainforest and our supporters built a traditional style school at Amparo Village in 2021. The goal is to save Yawanawa language and culture so the Yawanawa can continue as guardians of the Amazon Rainforest. Their reserve protects over 500,000 acres of rainforest.
