This is the type of game you'd either love or hate: You'd either love it for the genuinely fun Moon Lander-type gameplay, hectic action, and Jesper Kyd's fantastic soundtrack Or hate it for its steep learning curve and high difficulty.
It really is one of the coolest, funnest games man. Yeah, it's hard, but it's absolutely fair. Once you learn how to control it becomes intuitive, even though still difficult. There is no bullshit deaths, the mechanics are super tight, it's all on you.
@@BlurkFromUtterSpace Wow, really? its kinda hard to believe. I had this one as a kid and it was one of my absolute favorites. super difficult though. like, I dont think I've ever played any other game near as difficult as this one. I never made it past level 8, and even getting that far took me years. I finally played it again on emulator as an adult about a decade ago and using save states I was finally able to complete it, but even with save states, it was still an extremely difficult game. I've also always loved the soundtrack. I still have the cartridge.
I can't remember how many hours I dumped into this game. Jesper Kyd's soundtrack took the atmosphere and brought it onto a whole new level. Whenever I think of this game I also can't help but think of Mega Turrican as well. They both have this techno-futuristic vibe to them.
Wait the game is that short? I used to rent this all the time as a kid, and I'd get up into the watery cave area and get stuck. I can't believe I was a few levels shy of beating the game
Yeah most games back then could be beat in under an hour or so when you get good enough, that's why they had to make them challenging or else people would pay over $100 in today's money for the game and then beat it in an hour. Storage space was very limited on those cartridges. Also keep in mind this is a tool assisted speedrun(TAS), so a human isn't controlling this.
I enjoyed this game for a few minutes, i just suck at it, i could try it again, but i don't promise to suck less lol (this is not a promise of uploading something to the channel, whatever, is more like if someone cares that some random idiot will play this in the future or not, and that man is me)
This game looks so cool! Another one of the Genesis games that I genuinely want to play.
Yo just buy any anbernic! Even the $40 will have this on it
Had this game as a kid. Actually I had two copies I don't know why. lol
It was hard when I was a kid
I had it as a kid it was hard

Jesper Kyd did the music for this?! Sweet! Loved what he did for the Genesis game "The Adventures of Batman & Robin". Always incredible work.
And the "Hitman" series
This actually looks super cool
I really want to know how they did the 3D animation at the end of the game, absolutely mind blowing for the time/hardware.
Like seriously, holy hell. Looks like a late ninety’s cdrom game
That will be like Mortal Kombat with a 3D model.
search for the game "another world" and see the first animation as soon as the game starts.
Never heard of this game before but it looks like it's hard but a lot of fun.
Apparently this was one of the worst selling games for the Sega Genesis, so don't be surprised if you've never heard of it.

I Knew this game was gonna look Magical in a TAS, I'm thoroughly Satisfied x3
I thought that I knew the Genesis underground games but I never heard of this one, looks hard.
As a kid I never knew how to play this game. I'd always get past the first stage but the second one is when I got stuck.
same here, between getting my butt kicked and not knowing what to do this is super cool to see.
Man it took me so many tries to beat that 3rd level with the laser reflectors

Jebus fuking Krast i had no idea the ship could fly like that.

El klo pro pa la weá, yo nunca nca pude terminarlo 😂
You forgot the miners
The objective of this speedrun is to beat the game in the shortest time possible, in this case rescuing all the miners is a waste of time.
