... I use a plastic card to scrape off the excess ... very accurate ... my most accurate 45-70 load is made using a Lee dipper exclusively ... just happened to be the right size ... the plastic dipper unlike variable volumetric powder dispensers can NEVER get out of adjustment

I always "level off" the dipper with an old credit card. And my weights are all within one TENTH of a grain of what is printed on the Chart!

And to be honest, I scoop and go on the scale anyway, never went right into the case.

I agree. I scoop low and trickle to the perfect charge every time. When you are only loading and handful of precision hunting rounds it only takes a few extra minutes and is well worth the effort

I thought according to lee after you push the scoop down your meant to scrape it off not shake it

overfill the scoop with another scoop if necessary,scrape off the excess to level it
