If you're talking about Genei Jin they really didn't. They probably had no idea about this since it took like 3 years after the release of Third Strike for US Yun players to find out about how good Genei Jin is. Considering that only top-level Japanese players knew about it and that SF3 was kind of neglected by Capcom because of its unpopularity I highly doubt they knew.
The testers probably couldn't find it, that’s the whole point of my comment. And this was 1997, hiring professional fighting game players who actually could find this stuff was basically unheard of (and I don't think Capcom started doing that until SFV). Plus they had this same system in multiple games, Alpha 2 custom combos and Alpha 3 3 V-ism are just as bad as Genei Jin so that’s 4 separate games where they didn't find this.
@@broogul7335 They’re actually worse. Custom combos give most characters a touch of death and V-ism has crouch cancel infinites. Crouch cancel infinites literally killed Alpha 3’s competitive scene. Also if you're not crouch blocking during the activation of a custom combo you are unable to block low so you just die (good old Valle CC). Also, Evil Ryu has a glitch that makes his custom combos unlockable, he's banned but if you're playing on fightcade or something anything goes.
I like how most of 2nd Impact’s voice clips sound like someone’s doing a parody of the ones from 3rd Strike.
lol, never thought about it that way
How would this be a parody if 3rd Strike hadn't been released yet?
@@nomatter7887 I meant more in retrospect.
Unless is gill or dudley, they were more cool than others
"3S Genei Yun is so busted in this game, there's no one stronger than 3S Genei Yun"
2I Genei Yun:
Second Impact is a whole other beast than I thought-
I’d rather say next to Smash Melee, but that would be too far-fetched, I guess.
@@jaundy_yellow Tbh that seems true lol
just realized i had max damage on while doing this combo haha whoops sorry bout that

It's only works in 2nd impact no in 3rd strike, was nerfed
Makes me wonder how people find this stuff, especially since it was patched for the DC port.

i hope yun gets added back in SF6
And Yang too
watch them give yun Genei a 1 bar install so now he has 2 supers in the back pocket
Do you just input the SA while timer is still going to get it again? Is there a timing to it or some prerequisite?
When the timer runs out you reactivate it (whenever st.mk is done in the video)
how do you cause the underflow?
doing EX UOH (down, down, any 2 punches/kicks) on the same frame the timer drops below 40 pixels
ua-cam.com/video/ipYSWAb_xbs/v-deo.html this video goes into more detail about the glitch, I recommend watching
Im new on the Game Can someone tell me How to do the Glitch? I would really Be in your debt
How???
Second impact has an infinite genei jin glitch

does it work on Yang?@@GyroMan5136
@@axelmiramontes409 it also works with yang sa3, and oro sa1/sa3

@@assassinonprozac I dunno man, this is second impact, they should have got proper testers in there at a minimum

Wow good thing nobody plays this game
I do on my Nintendo Switch playing The 30th Anniversary Collection.
