"The Elephant Song"
What inspired me to write this song?
When I saw a baby with a towel around its back, it reminded me of elephants walking with pattam and how it makes the crowd cheer and how it kindles happiness among children.
Imagining that joyful walk of the lively majestic creature, I wanted some rhythm like 'chithirai maadham pourNami nEram'. Unable to extract just music as it was an old (train) song, I took Maestro's (One and only IR) 'ram bam bam' karaoke and sang alongwith that (pardon my singing).
Though I have completed the song, sharing only the first half of it. I will certainly post the full song one day, sung with music by professional artistes.
Elephant walks on the streets, eating jackfruits, people staying around it, children asking some questions for which the elephant replies! Like this, some of the things are depicted in this song.

In addition to making kids dance and singalong, this song would introduce different names of elephant/yaanai like kari, pidi (female), kaLiRu (male), vEzham, vAraNam, thudiyadi (baby) to kids too.
