What a great video. I enjoy watching the assembly process from this factory. Stay safe.
I'm not much of a chef (at all) but the one piece of fancy kitchen equipment I own is my rice cooker. Love my Zojirushi. I've used one for years and even given a couple as gifts.
Thank you to everyone in that room who helped build them.

world's most expensive rice cooker is now korean brand.

@@brucehur2051That will never happen. Japanese brands stand for high quality. Samsung and Hyundai are the far opposite.
you know how to make good rice? wash rice at least 3 times, indian rice needs more water, japanese rice needs less water (1:1 ratio) after rice cooker is done wait 10 minutes and fluff the rice before its ready to serve.
@@brucehur2051 Japanese made= quality, Korean made=Chinese made😂
I love Zojirushi products. I bought my first rice maker in 1971. I currently own two rice makers, two water heaters, a bread machine and a bento jar. I used one of the rice makers last night to cook up some Nishiki rice for dinner. Best kitchen appliances I own.
These are such great rice makers. Years ago I worked an assembly line and it's quite remarkable how after a few days you can work almost entirely automatically via. muscle memory leaving your mind completely free for anything you like. And you really need something to think about or you'll go crazy from boredom.
this called assembly-line work and this is nothing a human being should do day by day
@@NebucadLaVey Why not? Nothing inhumane about it. Rather for some people may be quite relaxing.
Right, cause everyone is going to make a ton of money painting or sculpting. Sometimes a job is a job. It beats chasing animals down with a stick or foraging roots or tubers all day for a meal. @@NebucadLaVey

Fascinating. The video gave me a new appreciation for how complex a rice cooker can be. It makes me want to buy one. That screw dispenser is so cool too.

Just in case, the retail goes for over $1,000
it is really nice to see the whole process of making such a sophisticated product😃thank you for your sharing
Processo de fabricação incrivelmente fantástico, parabéns, para toda a equipe.
I was amazed by this technology in food processing. I loved watching this video and I wish you success
Zojirushi are simply the best rice cookers (those produced in Japan). It’s not so easy to get hold of them in Germany, so eventually I imported it directly from Japan because the model I wanted was nowhere to be found. Worth every penny!
Very interesting to hear.
I agree that they make the best rice cookers and digital steamers for the price.
It's kind of funny that making rice and other cooked grains is quite simple with this than using simple cookware and cooking knowledge.
@@tfoen7678: I have an $18 rice cooker that’s been making perfect rice for more than 10 years. I use it 2 or 3 times per week.

In my mind, Zojirushi has always represented the highest-quality Japanese appliance I could purchase. This video confirms that. Amazing products, superbly built.
I suspect many ( if not most) of the parts are made in China.
And yet, in Japan, Zojirushi is regarded as a low quality bargain brand. It's interesting how how brands are perceived in their home country vs outside it. Rinnai, for example, is another brand that is popular, but regarded as cheap, in Japan, but is a premium brand in many other countries.
@@iatsd Never heard that. So then, what are the premium brands of rice cookers that are considered to be of higher quality in Japan?
@@tabcreedence6553 Mitsubishi. Toshiba. Panasonic.
Thats is lie,,Zojirushi is the brand if u want buy electric cooker,,same with Tiger.
I really enjoyed seeing how these are assembled. My wife bought one of these Zojirushi rice cookers about 25 years ago and it still works flawlessly. Amazingly well-built and designed kitchen appliance.
👍👌 Félicitations ! Un travail d'équipes absolument remarquable ! 👏👌👍

In my experience the Japanese make everything better to include Quality in their products. Their assembly line production set up to their quality checks, to their packaging is what we all should be striving for. Some will say that they do have quality escapes, but they are fast to respond and investigate so they can correct and prevent it from occurring again. Great job Japan!!!
That’s why I would pay extra for quality that lasts rather than for cheaper brand and wind up paying more down the line.

No wonder we have a good rice cooker. Great job guys. 👍
When I left home after high school my mom took me to the asian market and said, "now that you're on your own you'll need your own rice cooker." I chose a basic 3-cup one button Zojirushi. It's lived a life since then, it's moved around, gone on long trips, survived disasters, and been pretty much the most constant object in my life I suppose. I'm 38 now and I recently bought a new rice cooker, not because the old one stopped working. I'm just in a place now where I felt I wanted an upgrade, and I of course went for a Zojirushi.

@@samsun01 lol, My $15 on sale no name Rice Cooker from 7 years ago still going strong. I had a nice Zori Bread Machine, but the paddles kept wearing out and they charged almost as much for a replacement bread pan than I could buy a new machine from others. The replacement bread maker is perfect.

Amazing that these are essentially computers that cook gohan. Equally amazing is that I still use my Okasan's 40 year old Hitachi that has the one button that makes the "pachi" sound when it's done to let you know when it's time to start waiting for 20 minutes before lifting the lid, and for me (as a child) to remember not to touch it or else get my hand smacked with a shamoji, and it still cooks rice just a well. Sometimes, the knowledge and experience of Japanese mothers is priceless.

Top Japanese rice cooker !
I have a fuzzy logic Zojirushi rice maker. It rocks. Perfect rice every time. I went from rarely eating rice to it becoming a regular part of my diet. It was a little pricey but I have no regrets. It worth every cent. A great appliance.
How can it be worth it, when it is the easiest thing in the world to make perfect rice just in a normal pot on a normal stove? Just use two volumes of water for one volume of rice, bring it to a short boil and then let it sit on the lowest heat until the water is absorbed. It is literally as simple as that. Why this machine, then?
Yes, I thought the same thing, but I was wrong. It's better than when it's cooked on a stove top. Plus, it can hold the hold the rice ready to serve for 6 hours.
Have you tried with a Zojirushi? I've tried other brands, but Zojirushi does their homework and they perform consistently well. That's my experience, YMMV.@@jackmclane1826
A Zoji hot water kettle I bought for my parents in 2006 is still working (lid replaced once + a vinegar rinse every 3 - 5 yrs). On the other hand, my Tiger rice cooker bought from Costco still cranks out great rice after 6 years without me ever turning it off. Good reliable stuff they are!
there's literally nothing to break in water kettle, lol.
@@user-qh5zz7dy1h Then u haven't had one. Yes, the seal turns brittle and breaks over time; then the screws become rusty - all due to constant hot steam. And u can't replace the seal alone, u've to get the whole lid. Get one and find out.

pretty soon no toyota it will be hyundai !
@@brucehur2051 hyundai and kia will never displace Toyota. Won't happen. Sinking yen made Japanese production cheap now. Plus Korean car factories have the highest cost structure in the world. Korean white goods and electronics are very good, I like to buy LG and Samsung. Sony was a mismanaged company the last 20 years, they took too much advice from bankers (such as Third Point, advised them to get out of electronics). Of course the biggest electronics company in the world is Apple.
Someday I'll have a Zojirushi... Someday 😂. Kidding aside, it was fun and educational to learn how these are made. They're amazing pieces of technology.

A very interesting and educational video! Thank you!
I used Japanese rice cooker over 20 years until now its still good work
Some people are so detail oriented and can't stand taking short cuts. The Japanese have one of the strongest work ethics and attention to detail. It does not matter if they are making injection molded model kits, electronics or tools. I always loved their workmanship. Would love to see how Hasegawa scale model kits are made. Best model kits after all these decades. Their 1/48 scale model aircraft kits in particular are a real treat for extreme levels of fine detail and accuracy of fit
But is this factory inside Japan, or is it inside China ? Curious...
@@MeiinUK It must be in Japan
X el nombre te das cuenta q es una fábrica japonesas , por lo bien uniformadas de sus trabajadoras , si fuera China estarían cada trabajadora con la ropa q le da la gana y con sus pulseras y relojes
@@MeiinUK It states clearly Japanese factory, so save to assume. Besides it has the vibe of Japanese workers. Quiet, precise and precision. And from what I can tell, seeing the faces they look to me Japanese.
@@MeiinUK
The factory shown in this video is in Osaka Japan. Most Japanese companies assemble their products from China because the final cost is much lower for the consumer. Taxes and social charges in Japan are very high, which makes “Made in Japan” products more expensive. That’s why there is a lot of price variation on many similar items

We Love Zojirushi. I have a great thermos bottle made by them. Our hot water boiler had a seal issue after 12 years and Zojirushi sold us the whole replacement lid assembly for $32(?). Family and I literally bought a Zojirushi cooker as a souvenir when we went to japan. Its awesome! you can also cook so many things besides rice in it too. The salesman was so nice to my parents explaining all the features. Also small warning, Direct from Japan Models not for export need a step up power transformer plugged in between your outlet and cooker because they run on 220 volts there and USA uses 110v for most outlets. While it'll work without one, its not good for the life of the cooker. Bought one on Amazon.
