1/2 oz any baitcaster can launch that and you kept your thumb on the spool when the lure hit the water lol. And that knob is a spool tension knob not a braking knob.

Would really like to see that comparison. I picked up a Z week before last and love it so far, it’s smooth and quiet. I crank left handed so I am stuck with the 7.3 to one and kinda wish it was faster. I got used to my Speed Demon, for the money it’s been an awesome reel and I’ve worn out a Citica in the same amount of time. Got the Z based on Fluke’s review and it is SWEET.

Do the comparison video! Love 13 fishing’s stuff been using it for a little over a year now and haven’t bought another brand rod or reel since! I have two origin c’s that I started with, an inception, a concept a, and a creed fb. All of them are on a fate chrome or fate black except for one defy black crankbait rod. So glad I bought them and can’t wait to buy the new inception to build up the arsenal when I can because you know how expensive fishing can be lol.

What line should I choose for a variety of fish sizes mono, fluoro and braided. I like bass fishing but we also have pike where I am and those can be a little heavy but you don’t power those in it’s a long fight usually.

Just getting into bass fishing .... grew up on salt water all my life... definitely like the fate black rod... and seem like the inception reel that matches is a good reel ... ive been using perigee 2 rods by kastking and just got into baitcasters using the royal legend by kastking.. i will say the rod is way more rod than what you pay for.. but the reel is just something i got to get use to using a bait caster.... i am looking to upgrade to a 13 fishing concept c or A and then making a whole different setup with the fate black and inception.. i know your vusy but any input would help

Try a lews pro lfs. I can swear to you thats the best reel possible,in terms of price point. I cant backlash it, its dumb light. The casting and retrieve are smoother than my curado and citica. Its crazy good.
