I went with a 12600kf, msi pro z690-a, and snagged a used 3080 ftw3 ultra hybrid
as a European, I was in hysterics when I heard "budget". I'm not sure how the prices are over in the US, but aside for the GPU, this is most definitely not considered a budget build in Europe.
I'm probably going to be building a new pc within a year and this looks like a good option. I want DDR5 and PCIe 5 so it will be future proof! I will pair it with an i3-12100f. Then later down the road get a good 13th gen processor!

This is awesome. I actually have this exact processor and mother board coming and then 32gb of 5200 ram as well and a WD 1 tb SSD. Graphics will be the gtx3060 12gb. Budget build. Will be a very nice upgrade from my old Omen laptop haha. Will be handed down to my kids once I’m ready for a more wild build.
I have a question. When you said at the end that you had to switch around the ram modules. Did you mean moving them from how you had it from DIMM 1 and 3 to DIMM 2 and 4? Because I have mine set up to DIMM 2 and 4. I would like to know if I installed it wrong. Thanks. I like the channel.
Hey guys, thanks for responding so quickly to my last question! Got one more please :-). I installed the I/O plate and just noticed that there is a "tab" in the way of plugging in the ethernet cable. Can you believe that? lol a tab in the way. Have you seen that, and what would you do to fix it? lol Thanks!
built a similar system to this but i went 13th gen intel im not getting a display but all my RGB comes on and fans start to blow whats slots did you end up changing your ramm to?

Hey I have a question. I am building a similar build, and I see that this motherboard also takes 2 8 pins as well. My gpu also takes 2 8 pins, but my psu only has 3 8 pin connectors, can I run either the motherboard or the GPU of the same cord?
