Adam I love Catalina I fly there all the time and have their famous buffalo burger also as I have told you I have a boat similar to yours and tuna fish all around the island when they are here be careful I have seen massive great white sharks all around there 2yrs ago we had the biggest one I've ever seen 18ft easily I've been going there for over 40yrs looks like so much fun great video the man who taught me how to fly Park Stevenson was part owner of Catalina after the Wrigley's of course he now owns Joshua tree airport built it himself just some socal trivia dad to report though he recently passed away thank you for the video and sharing this adventure peeeeeece!!!!!

What an adventure, like the analogy of the waters, it's like the Solent between the Isle of Wight and Southampton.

5:21 Hey Adam, those are Common Dolphin (Delphinus delphis). 5:34 is an excellent shot of their white marking. The Common Dolphin generally weighs about 160 pounds and is 5 to 8 feet long. They are the fastest species of small dolphin and hit top speeds of over 27 miles per hour. They have also been observed bow riding on baleen whales, and they also bow ride on boats. Common Dolphins are known to be one of the most intelligent animals on Earth.

Worth carrying a cheap, small compass Adam. That way if your GPS did break, you could use the compass and not have to call out the CG :)

Where do you park your ski at catalina? I went on mine and I had to park with the dingy boats.. kinda sucked getting in and out of that situation..

Around an hour if it’s calm and you don’t stop. I like to mess around so takes around 90 minutes

Big fan of yours Adam but I wouldn't promote Catalina like that, I recently went this year mid summer and despite the weather not being the greatest that day they still took us out on the jetskis, the waves were way too rough and I own a jet ski myself but it was just a bad experience. One of the employees literally hit us with the jet ski and all he had to say was sorry.
