From Jermaine's Delta Airlines Sports Desk The Atlanta Braves made their arrival in Minnesota in front of a nearly packed crowd inside Target Field, but managed to hold off the Twins long enough to get a 10-6 victory in the first round of the series. The game started out strong for the Braves, putting up four runs in the first inning, thanks to Merrifield, Soler, and Marcell Ozuna. On the Minnesota side, the Twins responded with a solo run of their own, but Atlanta still has sole control of the game. But by the second inning, the Braves unleashed its wrath once again by scoring a five-run ambush on the Twins. It looks like Atlanta might simply pull off a runaway victory if they can keep up this kind of momentum. At the fifth inning, just when you thought Atlanta was gonna walk away with overconfidence, the Twins started to rally and taking the fight to the Braves by delivering two runs to chip away their lead. But Atlanta wasn't all that worried. The Braves put up another solo run, this time it was a wild pitch. And that error from Minnesota allowed Orlando Arcia to score, giving Atlanta just a bit more breathing room. Then, Minnesota put up three separate runs before the conclusion of the game, but it wasn't enough and the Braves took the first round. The second round is upon them, and the Braves are now six games behind the Phillies in the standings, but still fighting for a wild card spot. But also be warned not to get too cocky because the Twins will bring some unexpected tactics they'd never seen it coming! Will the Atlanta Braves be able to win round two and steal another series, or will the Twins plan to strike back and even the score? 1:06 That was the loudest crack of a home run I’ve heard in a long time. 3:07 Carlos Santana took a break from playing the guitar to have some of Max Fried’s frozen pizza. 😂 6:15 Ouch, you never like to see someone get hit with a battle ball much less a pitcher in his throwing hand. Hopefully it didn’t do any serious damage.
Bro relax. The offense played well tonight but that hasn't been the norm for the season. Idk if you watched the last series vs the Nats but the Braves only scored 8 total runs in 3 games. Now if the Braves can stay consistent on offense then I'll shut up. But I'll put money on the Braves not scoring more than 5 runs tomorrow.
Boy do I sincerely miss Ronald Acuna playing, especially when he was stealing bases. I hope I'm wrong but Ronalds career may be permanently over because of his, not one, but two, ACL injuries by which after researching ACL injuries, the only way Acuna can be used is as a DH but without running if that makes sense, because I read that an individual who has an ACL injury is not suppose to run. I hope through a miracle from God that Ronald's career is not over for 🙏. In the worst case scenario, Braves can use Acuna as a coach. On another note....Braves were playing some Great ball in this game.
