He’s very talented and underrated, but I personally think dance is not his thing, like he’s improving and I see his efforts but he’s still not as great of a dancer as the others so I get why ppl don’t really watch his fancams. But still he’s very underrated as a rapper and songwriter! I think kpop is not all about dancing skills, it’s about everything and each idol has his own strong and weak points.

Of course he isn't their strongest performer because he's not their strongest dancer, you can exude a different confidence on stage when you know you are very good at what you're doing. It's a little unfortunate that the gap between their best and their weakest dancers is rather big so that makes it more obvious - groups like GOT7 or Seventeen don't have that problem because they are all strong. But given that... * the whole group was built around HIM * he wrote or co-wrote 90+% of their songs * he's one of the best rappers of his generation with an unmatched lyricism * he handles most of the pressure and responsibilities as their official leader * he's in charge of keeping harmony within the group as well as representing them on the outside * he is *_the main reason they are known that well internationally_* because his language and rethoric skills make it so much easier for them to communicate (not saying they couldn't hire a translator, but his calm and mature way of speaking/presenting himself seems to play a big role in giving the others confidence too), * he has a fun, cute, caring, a little weird, open-minded, chill personality; and last but not least * he's smarter than 99,8% of the world's population yet still so humble and approachable ...he deserves more respect and recognition - especially within the fandom, it's not like they don't know about all of this and can judge him just based on looks or his dancing skills. actually, before i became an army, the one that made me so attracted to BTS was him. It was because of his English speaking skills and his DEEP voice.
