I like to ritualize it. Usually early Sunday morning. I sit down, review the week, reflect & look at what’s coming up the next week. 📖 🖊️

I prefer to journal in a local coffeehouse because it offers a background noise that distracts the noisy part of my brain so I can focus. Can’t do that with TV or the radio playing, but people having conversations I don’t care about is perfect. Coming up on consistently journeying 3 pages everyday (like Morning Pages, but usually in the afternoon). I couldn’t do that until I separated out a simple bullet journal in a Field Notes sized notebook that I always have in my pocket with a pen to do planning & tasks as my day goes along. The A5 sized journal for 3 pages a day is where I often sort out ideas noted briefly in in my BuJo, or just clear my mind of clamoring or conflicting ideas or thoughts.
PS: I previously tried to journal a zillion times in a 100 page composition 📓 notebook, but never got more than a few days at a time. Somehow that changed when I went to a hardcover A5 with grid paper. It helped me be intentional about writing. ✍️

Great tips. I've found that I really started to look forward to journaling in the evening right before bed because it helps me to unwind and reflect upon what happened that day. I believe that reflection is a huge part of productivity and growth.

I would add building it as a habit helps, do your very best to do it for 30 days+, no matter how you feel. The consistency will bring a trigger to your mind to do it again, thats how i did it, along with all your suggestions. Thanks brother, may God bless you & your family always!

Yea, I enjoy journaling outside. I love going to the park or book store.
Book store is a great idea!
I have to have a desk or table, so I can focus on my posture and my handwriting! I also collect journaling prompts for times when I have the right environment (you are absolutely correct: turn OFF the TV!) to reflect, but want to write about something substantive instead of what I had for lunch that day!

I try to journal but for me, I have a hard time having the private and quiet time to myself. There is always a distraction or someone that needs something. I usually try to wait for late at night but need to plan better
