Alot of dedication and consistency in training is needed for beeing faster and faster, thats what I kinda realized over the time, which is why I respect success of others in terms of running even more. Running a 10KM in 30min for example feels insane, hears insane and is insane. You gotta train alot till you reach this point and I feel it and thats cool. So, huge respect for your achievement, 33min is an insane time, so it means that you are able to hold on the speed that is needed for sprinting 100m in 15seconds and I cant even do that xD My record is 18seconds and that was before the temperatures dropped so I stopped the regular sprints each saturday all until when it will be hotter till april this year. When I started to run 10months ago, I did it in order to lose weight, that is my main motivation. 97KG back then, now its 81.3KG. It took a while until I could run the 12.5KM without having to stop and from then on, I started to measure my time. At first it was really slow with 1:40hours but it is improving step by step...which is why now I need 1:08hours for that track. Currently, next to fatloss, I want to reach the 1:00hours for the 12.5KM. And next to that, I wanna see if it is possible to lower the time up to 50min for the 12.5KM, which would be 40min for a 10KM run and 20min for a 5KM run. And after that, I wanna go below that, trying the 35min. Then even below that if it is possible. But as for now, it is fatloss and reaching the 60min for the 12.5KM and then reaching the 50min for 12.5KM until the end of this year.
I done my first ever 10k this month after starting to run for the first time in March, I'm 28 and decided to give it a go as I've got a baby on the way and needed to get in shape lol. It was the Colchester stampede 10k and I done it in 55:44 which isn't great but it was one of my best 10kms. I came across one of your videos about how to run 5k in a faster time and as I was watching I could have sworn I saw you run past river lodge (although its not called that anymore), small world!
@@Fusspilzsammler1 I done the same race last weekend in49:36, I've also done two half marathons both under 2 hours and I'm regularly running 20km+ a week. Thanks for the reply I'd forgotten how far I'd come in a year 😄

I'll be at the track again next Tuesday and I'll be wearing my Manchester City "kevin de bruyne" top. I'll try to look out for you, keep up the good work
Great time! and man that winner absolutely killed it! High standards. I don’t know what I’m most impressed with -your pace or being able to film during a 10k 😅
News shoes for a race, never even worn once?!? Mate how you made so much improvement in just 2 years. From 22 min to 16min, what have you been eating? You should think of top 5 things you did which normal people don't do and let us know, so that we can improve our times as well. Normal guys only improve 1 minute in a year for 5K.
@@BenIsRunning I have a Garmin one for running, there is also a Tri one as well. Both will also give extra data for ground contact time, vertical oscillation, left right balance etc.🏃☺
What the hell was that count down?? xD
I know 😂 wasn’t a fan of that- much rather have the traditional 321 🤣🏃🏽♂️🏁

How was the grip of the vaporflys on grass?
the way your casually talking while doing a 33 min 10k
Beautiful run Ben...great pacing!
The starter had some issues with counting backwards...? 🙂
Parabéns pelo vídeo, belo conteúdo...
My PB course, Did you feel the "incline" around 7Km on the way back.
I did yes, really enjoyed the albans way though, great course

Loved the video! The vaporflys are sick and so are the shorts. Which Nike shorts are those?
Thanks buddy! They are the nike areoswift shorts :)
Hi Ben, Have you tried the Nike Tempo Next%? Feedback?
I’ve not I’m afraid. Just about to give the zoom fly 4’s a go though, review coming soon
2! 3! 1!!
Dude, it takes me nearly 10 minutes to cover 1 km. It sickens me that people can run that fast and still be alive haha.
Nice time.
Thank you
Hey great race. Well done. How did you find filming with go 2 in the race situation? Did you use the case?
I used the camera alone. Probably would use the case next time as couldnt really tell if it was filming running at 10k speed lol
