Damn, Eno is so cerebral!...so much wisdom.... on death>> 'I could have done that and I could have done that but I didn't'... wow, how spot on is that!??
I'm 19 year old musician in Brisbane, Australia. I've been fascinated by Eno since I was 15. my goal in music is to one day work with this master sonic manipulator, and see how he would work with my creative output in contrast to his.
Why we should be scared? We all know that everybody will die at some point. Take it as motivation to achieve what you love as soon as possible before it's too late.

He needs to team up with Iggy pop and John Cale at the same time before it is too late. Lou Reed and David Bowie are gone now, they must act while they still can.
It would be a lovely notion and I won't knock it but nonetheless I don't think that will happen sadly. Will be nice if you throw in Bryan Ferry as well. I believe Tina Weymouth who said in the best albums of the 80s edition of Rolling Stone said that one day Brian David Byrne Bryan Ferry and David Bowie will be old men sitting on a bench talking about their past glorious and wouldn't that be slightly sad. I think it was just being cheeky but it sounded like sour grapes coming from me. Please correct me if I'm wrong in my paraphrasing of this quote. My own opinion is it sounds quite lovely but this was back in 1989 so 29 years later you know
Just in case anyone on here has not read his book My Life with Swollen Appendices, make it your business to do so. It’s inspiring and very funny. And so honest!
+meandmymouth There are unlit lenticular pictures available from www.paulstolper.com/ and some light paintings are available through www.lumenlondon.com.
+meandmymouth Just to add, apparently the gallery is selling the light pictures and they're going quickly. Out of most people's range, I suspect. +universityofambience Thanks for the info. Very beautiful and hypnotic but a bit out of my price range. Maybe mass production will bring the price down :-)
I'm a big fan of his mostly mainstream attempts like Warm Jets, Green World and Tiger Mountain but I've never understood the appeal of the ambient music.
What the fuckitty-fuck is that supposed to mean? You one of those bigoted intolerant religious nuts who hates atheists and kids yourself you can read their minds and tell what they're really thinking?
He's so fucking brilliant. No pretension or pomposity, just a guy who fucking loves to create.
"the genes are gone but the memes are still there"
As said by the man himself
No, genes live forever!
Anger is an energy. Eno is artist who remains a great art lover.
When Eno shows up everything changes, things become amazing and special.
One of my favorite artists.I love this guy.
Brian Eno seems to be such a nice, truly generous person, like almost all real musicians are.
Yes. much like Hedges was.

So good to learn of his admiration for Prince

to me too
I like how he chuckles at the end talking about his own demise :)

Wouldn't that be something?
and he needs to work once again with David Byrne
+BillyPilgrim it happened, you can look it up. there are eno some songs on david byrne's new album

He was out there in the rain banging on doors for Labour -stout fellow.
now i have less respect for him
@@JM-co6rf I just can't picture him doing that for the Tories. Maybe Greens, but the Lib Dems pah!

Brian Peter George St John
le Baptiste de la Salle Eno
Always a pleasure.
I love Eno, I love him because he is the biggest inspiration for Moby.
I love this guy
Mans a legend!
Moby is turning into Eno.
maybe I don't get energy from doing nothing but I get understanding. At the age of 54 I still consume a lotI learn from other peoples mistakes
A polo neck under a polo shirt under a pinstripe jacket. Now, that is avant garde. Or wrong, as we say in my head.

I somehow lost my copy and the book is freaking pricey 😭
Such an inspirtion
ADMIRE HIM SO MUCH SINCE THE BEGINNING! LEGEND!!
I think a collaboration with Panda Bear of Animal Collective would prove interesting.
Can one buy any of his light pictures ?

An intellectual musician, rarer than hen's teeth.
Not really. I mean look at Richard D. James.
One example is meant to prove me wrong?
+KT Kee Nah. I could continue on. I mean most of the musicians that are signed with Warp Records are fairly intelligent.
Go on then, I'm not stopping you.
+KT Kee Most of the artist signed with Warp Records.
A Brian Eno / Jojo Mayer collaboration? 🤔
Jojo needs a writer-type, not another sounds/layers/ideas guy

lucky him - i can't even start...
Such a interesting brilliant artist. I also admire his politics. The guy gives a sh#t! Intelligent and full of curiosity.❤
#AnotherGreeneWorld
did he say "meme"?
The term ‘meme’ was coined in 1976 by Richard Dawkins! It’s not a new word.
Coldplay interesting?
Old Coldplay wasn't bad
Not a huge fan but they always make good music, none of their albums are bad
Giorgi Nemsitsveridze Well, they plagiarized back then, that's why.
I find them boring pop creators
What is the 3 or 4 artists mentionned Brian Eno at 1'15 please ?
James blake ... William ,? and swiss drummer ,

This changed my life. I need to get on with...
When did Eno transform into an healthy-looking David Gilmore? Poor sod!
"Can't slow down"? Eh? If he went any slower, he'd stop!
Eno should have tore Guru-Murthy a new one.....typically asking about other artists, not interested in Eno at all.
Baby, you slowed down 20 years ago.
Brian is an atheist of convenience rather than truth.
What the fuckitty-fuck is that supposed to mean? You one of those bigoted intolerant religious nuts who hates atheists and kids yourself you can read their minds and tell what they're really thinking?
and also Brian should realise Marx was wrong about almost everything, from evolution to materialism. Marx was a reverse guide to truth, in fact.
Richard Laversuch what are you talking about..?
Seizing the means of production, of course. Music production, in this case
Can you stop preaching thanks
