I remember when I lived in Arizona we found some baby chicks after the city came and trimmed all the palm trees at the wrong time of year when the babies were nesting. it was so sad seeing so many baby birds on the ground. so me and my friend set out to find any alive and found 2 or 3 who were barely alive whether it be from the extreme fall or coldness or whatever it was.. we tried to rescue and save them with parents help but they died. I remember getting so sad and crying my eyes out as a kid and then getting so very mad at the world for being cruel :/ I sadly didn't have a happy ending to that story but I can sympathize with trying to save a bird and finding it dead after caring for them cautiously. It's heartbreaking...
When I was around 7-9 I tried to rescue a bird but it died some hours later, I remember I was so sad and couldn't stop crying and my mom telling me that I (a human) couldn't give the heat it needed like "his" mom bird. :(
Losing an animal you helped rescued and got attach to easily is hard to forget and ignore the pain, had that experience with a stray puppy. Loved your life story and can really related to it.
When I was around the age of 9, my mom and I went to Lowes to pick out flowers for the yard. As we were checking out we were told that 4 kittens had been left outside in a cardboard box with no water in the 100 degree heat. Poor angles. They didn't even have their eyes open. We were able to take in two of them and sadly had to give the other two away.
You’re such a good bird parent! My family and I have a few rescue chickens we were given by a local egg farm that went out of business. It was really difficult the first few days since the hens had only ever been in small cages and had never even learned how to walk so we had to come up with ways to keep hawks from picking them up since they didn’t know how to walk to and from their coop. And since they’d been bred to have super large eggs and conditioned to lay three or four times a day, many of them ended up egg bound and all we could really do was just make sure they were comfortable. Thankfully after awhile, they managed to learn how to walk and we reconditioned them to only laying once every three or four days instead of every day which is a lot easier on their health. I remember one of the figures out she had wings one day and would run around chasing the other hens flapping one wing at a time like “guys! Look at these things! They move!” They now are all a good weight and are no longer losing feathers, they’re very friendly too and will eat out of my hand and let me pet them. Your bird stories on insta are always a joy to watch. Give Soap lots of pats!
I actually have a baby bird now, it’s a young pigeon. We found it separated from the parents outside our house, we opened the door and took her in! She fit in right at home with our dog. Now, our Pigeon, (Amber) likes to take naps with our dog, (Lily). Just a short story, bye! :>

One of my dogs is a rescue. My brother lives away from us, & he was with some buddies from work when they all decide to check out an auction for Wounded Warriors near the place they were working. One of the items up for sale was a mixed-breed puppy that was brought from the local shelter in a bid to find him a home. My brother had lost his own dog, Juice, a few years before this to complications caused by incurable heartworm. He had adopted another dog, Bradford, from a coworker's family about 2 years after and he didn't think he would want another dog. But then he saw this little puppy's face, looked in his eyes, and saw the same eyes as Juice: warm brown, lined with black, happy and begging for hugs. My brother fought with himself for a bit, but he couldn't help how his heart moved for those eyes. Unfortunately, when he asked for more information, my brother found out that the pup was out of time at the shelter. If the pup wasn't purchased at that auction, the shelter would have no choice but to put him down the next day. My brother was a little taken aback at the news, but my brother put a $20 bid on the pup. He was certain someone would outbid him since the pup was so cute. But not even one other person bid on the pup. My brother went home with a new little brother for Bradford that same day. He wasted no time in calling us and telling us the story, then we got down to the business of naming the pup. After some debate, I finally got everyone to agree on Boone. The only other problem was my brother was working long hours at the time and didn't think he could give Boone the amount of care and attention he needed, so he said he would bring him along when he visited for Christmas and see if we would be willing to keep him. If not, he said he would figure something out for work. It never became an issue because I fell in love with Boone right away. My mom took a few days to convince, but you'd have to be a monster to resist a double puppy-pout (from Boone and from myself). Now Boone is my hyper, funny, smart, sassy, 4-legged son of 5 years, and I wouldn't trade him for a winning Powerball Lottery ticket, no matter how much he sheds.
Awwwwe such a cute video. ^~^ I've actually rescued my current cat leown. I had gree up with atleast one cat throigh most of my life so when me and my mom got a new apartment i got a bit lonely just having a dog so me and my mom went outside and fed the neighborhood cats. Now he doesn't really try to get out but he does have a bad habit of laying in my stomach or on our beds. Buuuuuut he is still a really good cat and i love him ^~^
AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH IT'S SOOOOOO CUTE My family saved a bird also tho it was a bird that is not supost to live free in my contury so we took it and it's living with us and with it's friends we allready had the same sort of birds so it was perfect
When I was younger around 8 my family had to take care of two chicks that fell from there nest because there mother was fighting a robin. I forget what kind of bird it was, but there was also a third bird that fell but it was inches away from death that we couldn’t do anything to help it. After my dog saw that close to death baby bird I think she bit it’s head so it died..we couldn’t take care of the two birds because of our dog so one of our neighbors did. All the kids in that dead end street toke care of the birds, and when we went to school and came back we heard that one died. A few weeks later we learned that the bird had jumped out of the place we kept it and flew away, I don’t regret it though it was so fun to take care of the chicks with all the other kids
Yes! When I was a wee kid ( 5 to 6 years old.. 3th grade) my Aunt found a yorkshire terrier outside in the rain. We took him in temporarily because my aunt had two female bovier dogs ( the big curly black dogs), while the yorkie was a male, so it wouldnt combine too well. We searched for the owner for atleast 3 months. At that time my mum got operated and because I helped her well enough I was allowed to keep him. His name was puk (as in hockeypuck). The little lad was my best friend up untill november 2016... where I had to put him down for a tumor in his muzzle. He was there for the mayority of my life and I still miss him to this day..
That's so cute. When i was younger my aunt found a baby bunny on the side of the rode and a snake was a few feet away. She picked up the bunny and ran home to show me and my family. We later gave the bunny to a family friend.
When I was 11 I raised a European black bird. A Marten pillaged their nest and this little guy fell to the ground. When I found it, the baby bird was naked and ice cold, weakly raising the head begging for food. I kept him warm inside my hands while my father was searching for earthworms. It only ate one and then went to sleep because of exhaustion. My grandma lives still in a very old house where they have a stove witch stays kinda warm over the night. So we put it inside a soft hat and let him for the night. To the surprise of my father it survived the night and I spend my whole summer vacation hunting for insects and raised Bromhänsel (her name) on my own. But damn... They poop a lot... a lot.... Sadly she passed away a while ago. It was nice taking her on walks, sitting down and watching her jumping around, searching for food or just do her calls. I know that blackbirds don't really like to fly and run really fast on the ground but she was really lazy. Walking and running was fine but flying? Nope. As soon I went on, she flew on my shoulder or head and had to carry her to our new destination. Lovely bird.
this happened twice to me. A small bird flew into our window, so hard it made a bang, and since we had a dog we had to be super quick to get it before he did. So we took him inside, my sister named him Lemon, he had a broken wing and was becoming quite sick very fast. I begged my mum to take Lemon to the vet, even if the had a small chance of living I wanted to take it! She said “No. It’s nighttime and not many vets will be open.” It was about 7:45-ish so I figured there had to be at least *one* right? I did so much research trying to figure out what kind of bird he was, what he could eat and I even found that 3 vets were open! I told my Mum “look! The vets are open! Please can we take him?” And again... it was a no. She said “The vets have to be willing to do it as well! If there’s nothing they can do they’ll send us back.” I ran into my room and cried. This small bird’s life was going to be over before it had really started. It was probably about a year and a half old judging by the size and I had already grown attached to it. The next morning, I ran down the stairs to see him... and he was gone. I cried almost all morning and my mum said “He was very sick.. he wouldn’t of made it long” I now realise that the reason why my mum didn’t let him go to the vet was... she knew that was going to happen, I know this but it still makes me sad to think about it... Sorry this was so long and thank you for reading the whole way through!
So, when I was younger(and still now lol) I loved birds but I wasn't allowed to get any indoor birds, so I compromised with my parents and got chickens! Anyways, I used to live on a farm and birds would nest in the barn all the time! We would always try to save the chicks whenever they fell out of the nest, but we would never keep them for long after rescuing them because we didn't really have a good space for an adult bird, but our friend did so we just have them to her. Anyways, back to the chicken thing, I rescued an adorable blue grey splash silkie chicken! He is absolutely adorable and amazing!
Oooh. I enjoy these story times :3 I WANT MORE >:3 (lol, sorry if I sound demanding) oh. Btw. One time, my brother and his friend (I think) found these baby birds. I think one died and the other one was on the verge of dying so my brother just took the one. It was a newborn and it was pink. One day, my brother went to his friends house, and I woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. Then I remembered the bird so I went to check on it. It was moving so I poked it softly and rushed upstairs to get bread and drop a really tiny piece in its mouth... But it still didn't move. My brother was coming back early in the morning so I told him when he got back. I felt like it was my fault for not doing more or watching it more. But he told me it wasn't my fault and that made me feel a little better but a little guilty still. It was cute but... weird looking at the same time. I wish it was still alive so we could see it grow. We have a bird cage that we never use. It's like decoration even tho a bird could probably fit in there. (not a big bird) So yeah. Thanks for listening to me. Bye :3
Soap is so cute! I tried to help a hurt dove once. It was a mourning dove and it couldn't fly and was hiding in a pipe. I also think his eye was hurt. I found him (I don't know weather he was a girl or boy but I refer to him as a he.) when i was walking home from school. When I got home my parents where not happy and made me leave him outside. So I put him on this nest I had found on the ground and lightly covered him in a few scraps of clothes and left him out side on the ground in the nest hoping for the best. I had to heavily wash my hands afterwards. The nest morning I go out to ser him and I find his body not far from the nest. One of my neighbor's cats had got to him. With in that small amount of time I had already named him. His name was feathers. I start to cry to this day when I think of him not even a fraction of how bad I did when it happened though. I was in the 4th grade when this happened. Thanks for coming to my ted talk
Hmm.. I believe I was about about 9-10 when I found a stray cat in my neighborhood. He was a full grown cat and his pelt was gray so because of his fur I named him Smokey. Back then I used to play with the neighborhood kids all the time and Smokey would follow me whenever I was riding my bike or scooter. I have asked my mom many times if I could keep him as a pet but I had another cat that was only reaching maturity and wasn't neutered, so she didn't want to take the chance. I would feed Smokey and made a homemade bed outside of my door for him to sleep in or take shelter when ever it rained. But when ever my mom would leave me home alone I would take my cat and put her into a separate room before letting Smokey inside my home until my mom came back. He gave me gifts such as sometimes I would go outside and find dead birds, lizards, and frogs. While it was disgusting I still found it sweet. Unfortunately when I turned 11 we had to move and I begged my mom t bring Smokey with us but she said no. Its been 3 years and Im not sure if Smokey is still waiting for me to come back or is dead. Its honestly sad but I hope he found someone else to take care of him
I had a baby pigion that I saved. One of my nabors brought it over because they know I like animals and it fell out of its nest from a storm the previous day. The pigion lived in my backyard and I would put her in a cage at night to keep her safe because we're I live there's a lot of predator. One night I hurt my hand really bad and forgot to put her in her cage and she dissappeard. She would follow me everywere and was like a dog. She would even fly into my dogs back and ride on him it was adorable. I raised her from a baby and named her cloudy. She was dark grey and brown. I miss her alot and I'm happy she had a good life while she was still here.
I want to squish your soap birb in a big ol’ hug. Story time: My mom was a part of a LOT of animal rescues and really good at her job. She and I have rescued animals for years. She has also bred cats before. The animals we have been able to rescue and keep the most are cats. But this is a totally different animal I did NOT see coming. The story I want to share is when I found the raccoon in my backyard. We had a stud cat outside in a little kitty condo enclosure with places to climb and hide in, hammocks, food and water, etc. It’s normally my job to go out there and feed the cats out there. The cat’s food had been disappearing for a good couple of days and we couldn’t figure out why. Well, I went in to feed the cat and I turn around and there is this raccoon up on the rafters. I froze, he froze, and I called my mom over using the phone and tapping on the glass. I took pictures of him in case they were needed for later. The poor guy had a bloody stub for a foot, like they had gnawed it off. We eventually caught them and found out about an illegal raccoon trapped in the neighborhood that the local shelters have been hunting down for a while now. He had been using clamp based traps to catch raccoons and skin them for their fur illegally. The poor mama raccoon was starving and was getting whatever she could get after having to gnaw her paw off to escape the traps. We gave her to the shelters, they fixed her up and put her back into the Wild FAR away from the neighborhood that got her foot, and eventually the guy was caught I believe. *No, we did not keep the raccoon or name them panda. XD*
I had a baby chick about 3 years ago, i was sitting outside by my door and my sister and brother run up to me holding what appeared to be an egg, my sister told me that, their was a nest of eggs but unfortunately the mother abandoned the babies once they hatched and left them for the cats, the rest died sadly.. But the one my sister brought to me was the only one that appeared to live, it had trouble coming out of the egg and i decided id help him only a small bit, I named this baby chick Dax, i didnt know how to take care of a bird, let alone a baby one, so i decided to search a few things and i noticed he wasnt able to stand or lift his head a few hours after he hatched, he did wiggle and stretch his tiny wings however, i tried to feed him but he refused and rejected what I tried to give him, so i decided to search again and it has said baby chicks dont eat the first 2 days but id still try, i dont really take care if pets becuse of my mother but i had grown extremly attached to Dax right when i saw him, i kept him in a small blanket by my heater and its like o knew something was wrong with him before i knew it.. On the 2nd day he didnt peep much like he did and i got worried, he was a lot weaker as well.. So i held him on my hands and tried to feed him again, he rejected and spit it out.. Im not sure why but i started to cry a little bit, and a few minutes later he died in my hands.. I burried him by my favorite tree with tons of little white flowers..
Me and my mom once saved a sparrow, who tiny and socked wet,and his leg was hurt, then we decided to stay with till' he got better, but when he got better,we were setting it free but then out of NOWHERE it raining heavely ,end then we my mom tryed to get him back inside he fell on the ground full of running water and then he fcking fell on a pitchy black hole.....no every single time we try to save a bird we check the weather cuz that, I don't understand why the fck did it have to rain that DAY at that TIME, I MEAN IT ONLY STARRED TO RAIN A FEW MINITES AFTER WE SET HIM FREE,AND AS SUDDENLY IT CAME ,IT SUDDENLY STOPPED RAINNING. it was as if it just raining so poor creature die.
I have a small story, one day I found this snake, it had possibly been grabbed by a predator while in its egg, so he had part of his face missing (possibly that’s where the predator bit or clawed) but he was dehydrated on the side of the road, I own a couple snakes so I brought him home, my mom wasn’t pleased though lol. But he sadly passed away about 1 1/2 years ago. I never have him a name sadly
is it posable for birds to move their eggs out of a nest to a safer place or did my dog eat the eggs?! I love birds I'm planning to get a Cockatoo for my 20th birthday to myself (cuz I have no friends T^T)

I have had a similar thing happen to me though i had to release them when they were older
im glad that soap is happy living with you
So, when I was younger(and still now lol) I loved birds but I wasn't allowed to get any indoor birds, so I compromised with my parents and got chickens!
Bye :3
OMG this story is so good and your voice just makes it all the more satisfying
Its honestly sad but I hope he found someone else to take care of him
I really loved this video! I would definitely love to see more of these type of videos

Story time:
My mom was a part of a LOT of animal rescues and really good at her job.
XD*
OMG SO CUTE *CRY *
I habe a rescue pigion as well. Her name is fluffy and shes a banded tail pigion.
This is so cuuute

So cute!!
Soooo cute!
I loved this
Me and my mom once saved a sparrow, who tiny and socked wet,and his leg was hurt, then we decided to stay with till' he got better, but when he got better,we were setting it free but then out of NOWHERE it raining heavely ,end then we my mom tryed to get him back inside he fell on the ground full of running water and then he fcking fell on a pitchy black hole.....no every single time we try to save a bird we check the weather cuz that, I don't understand why the fck did it have to rain that DAY at that TIME, I MEAN IT ONLY STARRED TO RAIN A FEW MINITES AFTER WE SET HIM FREE,AND AS SUDDENLY IT CAME ,IT SUDDENLY STOPPED RAINNING. it was as if it just raining so poor creature die.
If you made a comic with your character or characters in your other videos it would be awesome to read it
And I love your bird
