Wonderful car. Miss my r/t with sunroof, and alpine. Mopar cold air intake, and emblem delete. Personally owned, just don't know why everyone called me a Fed. No one wanted to hang out with me. It's like the car scared people away.
No cap tho the gas ain’t bad if you really just drive normally.I only put $60-$70to fill up my tank. Now ofc it’s gonna go by quick if you drive crazy on the freeway or streets😭. But if you just cursing you’ll be fine for the whole week for sure

The R/T Chargers and Challengers are absolutely not bad options if you can’t or would rather not get into a higher trim. Most people just want to have fun and they think only the 6.x L can do it, but that’s so far from true. The 5.7 is honestly the balance between fun and fuel economy over a Scat or any other 392/378. Enough power to have a good time but won’t kill the wallet when you just cruise around on a daily basis. My ‘21 Challenger RT gets an average of 22mpg combined and I’m filling up about every 6-7 days when using MDS for most of my commute, and roughly 19 when using manual mode or keeping it in Sport. I’m also putting about $75 in the tank from empty, but I’m using 93 which is about $4.40/gal at the moment where I’m at and my estimated Mileage until Empty is projected around 350 miles. These cars 0-100 is pretty quick, and while they certainly hit a wall after that, it keeps pulling and can easily push 130. My honest gripe about the engine, or at least the execution of MDS is not being able to select it manually. I hate you can’t be in Normal mode without MDS unless you get a Tazer or something equivalent. There should have been an ECO mode that flips between the two; that would have been leaps and bounds better than what it is. Other than that, it’s a fun and reliable car that knows how to get rowdy.
Tbh, I don’t see many Chargers or Challengers pulled over. I’m a truck driver that drives cross country and it’s not common at all. You thinking you see this a lot is a phenomenon called the “Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon.” In short, it’s basically selective attention and confirmation bias combined. You think you see it a lot, but it’s only because it happens to you and because you have a tendency to pay more attention to other Chargers/Challengers than any other car on the road.
If you’re driving within the laws, you won’t get pulled over. If you have legal window tint, you won’t get pulled over. I would say most of the people that say that these cars are targeted by cops are the same people that speed constantly and/or have illegal mods on their cars. If you don’t want to get pulled over, then follow the laws and you won’t have to worry about it.

I’m happy with my 2015 charger v6. Gas is great and looks and sounds just as good! Not everyone wants to sound like thunder is striking when stepping on the gas…

On my 2016 R/T I’m getting 20-22 MPG 390-410 miles range every time I fill up. Not bad unless you stepping on it every time

I have a challenger R/T plus and my gas mileage is pretty damn good I mean I get over 400 miles when I fill up and I fill up once every two weeks or sometimes once a week and it’s a daily drive. And on top of that these car were meant to be push hard so yes they are very reliable cars

My first mopar was going to be a 5.7 and my friend talked me out of it and i got the scat pack instead and after a year i upgraded to a hellcat, but the 5.7 is a cool car for what it is.

I wanted to add a widebody kit to mine when I get it but think about it depending on which body kit you get it’s like 1800-2000+ then you have to paint all the parts, then you have to make the wheels wider and all of that is not cheap at all so add all of that on top of general maintenance and that’s what made me not want to right away but I may later on when I drive it for a long time I love the look of the wide body’s though but shits expensive

I dont get people who call the rts slow.... I drive a 2021 gt v6 and have no problem running 80% of other cars on the road down with 300 hp. So I can't imagine an extra 70 hp is by anymeans slow feeling

I've driven my 16 RT daily for 6 years now, and I love it. Yes, I've had some issues that needed to be fixed, but the car is great. I'm only at 91k miles too and I'm taking care of it so I can keep it until 250k lol hopefully.

But anything under a scatpack ( I’m talking about buying to keep the car stock ) is bad because dodge makes heavy vehicles, and if ur getting a v6 engine with a car that is 3,900 pounds then your not going to be making any power what so ever and to be honest that’s not good for a coupe. If I was you I would sell the gt and buy a lightly used rt or scatpack which would be wayyy more worth your money because it would make the power to support the weight of the car. Also the risk of getting your car stolen because people think your car is a srt isn’t worth it over a v6

Dodge would sell more R/T is they offered them in AWD like in 2014. The only AWD they have now is the 6 cylinder, which is too slow for the weight of the car.

If you drive in the city, your mpg will always be terrible. I had a 2004! Subaru and it only got 15 mpg in the city. That is awful for a 4 cylinder. It also got police attention too.
RT + Supercharger&other upgrades&bodykit = cheaper SRT which is better in my opinion cause they be taxing for the srt name.

If you have a rt and try to race it you will realize it's slow real quick when a Honda Accord and Camry both gap you, it is a V8 so it'll pull but not fast by today's standards

I still speed and have fun WOT, still got 18-20 mpg.
@@bhagrt it depends on where you live and the traffic. If you’re constantly driving and stopping at light every 2 blocks it won’t matter how you drive the car. The MPG is gonna be low.

I regret not getting an RT trim, I got a v6 challenger at the moment which is almost paid off. (Only took me less than a year).

Can you do a video on how the 345 hemi responds to 87 vs 89 vs 91/93? I know it recommends 89 and 87 is ok. But ive heard that on 87, its more sluggish and u get the worst mileage. On 89, its normal. But on high octane, it gets the best fuel economy and is more responsive.
Btw gas tank capacity is 18.5 gal
Also have u thought about getting an oil catch can and a 'z automotive tazer'?
Also u have an open diff. Not a limited slip diff. They put that 2.62 in for fuel mileage. If u swap to the 3.09 limited slip, u will pull and jump harder. But you will rev higher on the highway and suck down gas faster
When I had my RT challenger I never put 87 in it because it said in the manual it might cause a octane knock , but there is like no difference in performance between 89/93 on that car except you get better MPGs.
The car would definitely run better with more ethanol meaning 93 would be best over 87 and yes you can feel the difference

I have a 2016 R/T. I got a diablo performance tuner for it and tuned it for 93 octane and i get about 17-18mpg city and 23-24 highway

Stock RTs come with a 2.62 OPEN differential. Stock Hellcats come with a 2.62 (LSD) LIMITED SLIP differential. I'm going to install a stock Hellcat 2.62 LSD on my 2016 RT Charger soon. It's a direct fit.
