Thanks for the guide. I won't be using the mods, since they make the game too easy, but there are good tips here and all of this is achievable without mods.
M&k. I tried with my hotas, but didn't like it. M&k is much more accurate and faster, once you get properly experienced with the game. Do you mean my ship is moving or turning faster? That's dependent on the ship engines, thrusters and mass.
@@OrcCorp The ship yes. I guess I just need more time to get used to the setup. I was just going through the first tutorial and getting familiar with everything. Seems like i'm not moving around very quickly at all. It'll probably just take me some time to adjust to controls. Thanks for the info on the hotas. I was looking at getting one, but I'll hold off for now until I'm more experienced in the game.
Have you noticed any fps drops from DLC’s? I’ve heard that they can affect fps, but I’ve also heard that they don’t and it’s just a myth. So far I only have 1 DLC and 2 paint job mods and my game runs fine, but I’m worried if I buy the other DLC’s they’ll hurt my fps and I’ll end up regretting spending the money.
I didn't notice any problem when playing, other than in late game, when you have a larger fleet and more stuff going on, the fps will drop as there is simply more stuff going on. DLCs will add things, so there is more stuff going on, later in the game. So it's all about the amount of simulation happening in the background, and the more stuff you have, the more it will require from your CPU. The more powerful CPU you have, the more it can take. Simple really.
@@JB-ue6lf FPS is largely affected in the map mode in the long run and that depends on how many satellites reveal activity. Because the map supports a 3D vision on objects that actually can eat up performance. The mod Sector Satellites can help a great deal as they provide "enemy detection sats" that only activate when enemy in range, and it has many other useful features. In a later stage however when you have factories and many traders it is unavoidable to lose some FPS in map mode, its not that bad if you have decent machine, but a potato PC does suffer a lot as both CPU and GPU are challenged in their own way.
@@madrooky1398 I ended up getter a better CPU and since then I haven’t noticed any real fps issues. Even with very large stations and factories my PC runs smooth. This all the DLC’s too
It's not really cheating. With mods enabled, it locks achievements and progression towards custom start credits. It's also a single player game and so letting people play it how they want is perfectly okay. That being said, seems like a pretty easy start to me. Not something I would do, but meh.
To have that they would have to give every ship a sensible internal layout. Right now the internals of ships are very basic just to let you get inside and pilot. To support any boarding gameplay that wasn't dumb they would need to be much more than that which would require tons of work.
@@GenericName007 check out mod more ship rooms mod. Half of the work is already done by modders . All they have to do is add more environmental props ad layout randomiser and transplant s fighter shooting mechanics to FP perspective. TBH given another year or so modders will get I'd done themselves.
Just now found your channel and you make awesome content. dont know why i havent found your channel earlier :(

Are you using M-K or do you use hotas? I've just started playing and you move way faster than I am with m-k.

Does anyone know if these mods work with the starwars overhaul mod?
Sorry, no idea.
