The roughing the passer when he was trying to rush the edge for the first down , the PI at the start, the off sides etc. all in crucial moments giving the commanders a fresh set of downs. Horrible.

What. A. Battle. The Commanders showed last season that they are not to be underestimated, and they proved it again today. NFC East battles are going to be wild this season (well, maybe excluding the Giants). Glad we're 4-0 but we have got to tighten up the screws in the secondary.
I'm an Aussie and completely new to NFL. As such have landed on Philadelphia Eagles as my team to live and die for.
I'm slowly learning the rules and plays so correct me if I'm wrong, but Eagles seem to be hard done by with some calls this game.

The Eagles were playing against the REFS again. Refs BS call on 1st quarter QB sneak; the Jalen Carter sack in the 4th lead to a 3rd down completion and TD for the Commanders. REFS always trying to keep the other team alive.

Not too upset at the playcalling for the offence in this one. A couple of runs and passes needed to be switched around, but like 90% of the game we moved the ball well. Curious to figure out where the defensive struggles were coming from. Personally think the refs did us no favors on that side of the ball though. Still, as you said, 4-0 is 4-0! Fly Eagles Fly 🦅

That's been every team. Sean Desai needs to figure out a counter because Mac Jones, Baker, Kirk, and now Howell have obliterated the middle of our defense. That last drive where the Commanders scored we had guys playing 8 yards off their WRs and it let them walk down the field. I don't understand the passive zone mentality.

This was a hard fought win, but man Brian Johnson really needs to improve if we’re gonna to compete with the 49ers. He’s made a lot of bad decisions this year, and bad personnel decisions too for that matter. During the Vikings game it seemed like it finally clicked for him, but over these last two weeks his playcalling has regressed back to his old habits, and it’s getting frustrating at this point. He is way too pass happy on first and second down when we cross into field goal range. He takes Swift off the field and puts Gainwell in at the worst possible times, knowing full well that Gainwell averages half as many yards per carry. This isn’t a mystery. Use your best players in the redzone. They got a touchdown on their first TD drive by giving Swift the ball in scoring territory, then put Gainwell in for the rest of the game whenever they reached that area of the field. It’s an insane thing to do.

Sloopy defense in this game. Our defense needs to play better. This game should not have been a win in OT. I rly hope we get our defense playing better especially when we play cowboys, bills, 49ers and even the chiefs. If not we will probably lose each one of those games
Missing both starting safeties is a real problem, their D had been solid the first 3 games despite the offense, the offense won them this game. Every single team even the best D in the league is going to put up a few bad games, it’s just to hard of a league not to and add in missing 2 safeties and it’s obvious why the pass game was so affective for the skins

The eagles cannot continue with this defensive philosophy. You cannot play soft coverage and allow qbs to slice and dice all game. You can't rely on sacks to save you. The refusal to blitz is just insane. I'm not saying that we have to be overly aggressive, but we should not be letting inexperienced quarterbacks look like the second coming of Brady.
The Eagles had a good blitz at like 5 seconds left in regulation. Jim Johnson would have blitzed again with two seconds left, but this Eagles team didn’t and gave up the tying score.

Washington was stacked to stop the run, that’s why that long pass was single coverage. The taunting call on that TD was lame, just an example of the one sided officiating. No taunting and the extra yardage from the kickoff being returned was just enough to allow the tying score to happen.
We got the win but there was no need for that to go to OT. 2nd and 4 with 1:50 left, Commanders with 1 TO. Just run the ball!!!! I knew that play was a mistake even after we scored. All we had to do is get a first down with our solid O-Line and run game (pretty likely), and then its game over. But no we gotta be fancy and throw the ball to give them a chance. Luckily they didn't go for two. Brian Johnson pulled the same crap in OT too. JUST RUN THE BALL!!!!
I mean tech they would have had time to tie the game still. But if you do pass because they are selling out on run, make it a slant so you get the first down but don't score. Then they won't get ball back.

That was an awful effort by Blankenship, on the score where he has a shot to make the tackle in the open field. He has played well though, but you gotta make that tackle .
