The revelation is NOT CLOSED. John 16:13-15 JESUS said He will send the SPIRIT of TRUTH to reveal more truths to us which the disciples at that time couldn't contain them, BUT all revelations MUST be in line and in tune with the one Christ has given already, and Paul came to give a better explanation in Ephesians 4:11-13, ----UNTIL THE STATURE AND THE FULLNESS OF JESUS CHRIST, and this ends when the Church age comes to an end. So HE will CONTINUE to reveal HIS TRUTHS to us. More so the Church is still being built by Jesus Christ as said in Matthew 16:18. He ALWAYS has HIS REVIVALISTS to revival in the church as and when He deems necessary, so there will not be any danger.
The revelation of SCRIPTURE is closed. The reason it is called the CANON OF SCRIPTURE is because it is the standard. You cannot add or remove any part of Scripture by your own volition.
With regards to John 16, the promise made by the LORD JESUS CHRIST IS WHAT GAVE US THE CANON I.E. THE BIBLE. Thus, the promise to lead into more truths gave birth to the NEW TESTAMENT.
And so once again I state - THE REVELATION OF SCRIPTURE IS CLOSED.
There are a lot of divisions among Islam; Sunni, Shia,Ahmadiyya,Ibadi,Sufism . Among Christians we even get along with other sects but in Islam they are enemies eg Saudi Arabia and Iran etc

God is just multi dimensional so every time there’s something he reveals to new dispensation so there is none wrong when you wait upon God and he gives you new revelation. The way God dealt with Abraham was different from how He dealt with Noah etc
The point Dr Mensa Otabil is making is this ; the CANON OF SCRIPTURE IS CLOSED. What that means is that, GOD IS NOT GOING TO GIVE ANY REVELATION BEYOND THE SCRIPTURES. Therefore, any revelation you get must be made subject to Scripture since the Scripture is the standard.
Is it a sin to read gospel literature written by men of God called by GOD? Then we must read only Bible, no preaching. We must read the Bible and study the Bible as a first and foremost then read good literature written by genuine men of God, like the Mensah Otabils and The Bishop Dags. Not all pastors want their books to be treated as the Bible. Example Mensah Otabil, Bishop Dag Heward Mills, Arch Bishop Duncan Williams, Bishop Oyedepo and myself etc.

There's no danger. God is always in Control. There's always a remnant. There are still congregations here that preach Christ alone.. only few true Christians attend such places. We are in the last days and Jesus warned us. The love of many for the Truth will wax cold.
