(Maybe there’s more participation from other members but I don’t remember clearly rn)This being one of the first songs made by the members was already meaningful cuz SM is not very flexible about including their artists creations on official albums or anything, in their first years after debut. At least, we know that Lay tried many times to get one of his songs on an album but it eventually got rejected until Promise happened! Also, this song was made for EXOL because the members wanted to express their gratitude to all the Ls who supported them, stayed by their side and made possible for them to be successful. So about Promise: LAY produced and wrote the lyrics, so they are originally in chinese. Chanyeol and Chen wrote the korean lyrics. (Maybe there’s more participation from other members but I don’t remember clearly rn)This being one of the first songs made by the members was already meaningful cuz SM is not very flexible about including their artists creations on official albums or anything, in their first years after debut. At least, we know that Lay tried many times to get one of his songs on an album but it eventually got rejected until Promise happened! Also, this song was made for EXOL because the members wanted to express their gratitude to all the Ls who supported them, stayed by their side and made possible for them to be successful. All happening despite the scandals (3 members leaving with lawsuits to SM). Also, as an EXOL, I understand the title as EXO promising that they will stay together as a group and do all they can to keep EXOL with an smile on their face and not be a reason to feel hurt.
We exols are crackheads we take everything seriously bcoz we all found exo when we extremely needed them so we get angry for situations where people drag exo where they are not needed so its okay our idols told us so many times there is no competition in music so we won't do but if someone try to do business with their feeling they are harsh sorry from exols n thnk you from exols eridal saranghajayo
