    Stockton didn't really have a standout game, but him rolling in with the kids in the mini van is still a colder entrance than these guys now walking in looking like extras from Zoolander.

      That 3 he hit near the end of the game would have been a finisher against pretty much any other team. Jordan put together 3 crazy plays to get that lead back.

    Thanks AOH! This is awesome. Born and raised in Chi-town, so this feels like it was just yesterday. These Championship years were our glory years of course but, I tell you there was nothing like watching MJ pre 91 and just how incredible he was during the journey to the first championship. Sure he was a smarter player during this game and during the championship years but, his pure athleticism days in the mid to late 80’s were simply incredible.
    (Edit - Even being the GOAT, notice how MJ still has respect for Phil and Tex etc. He was mature, intelligent, humble, and a real leader. Qualities you never see in Lebron. His immaturity alone is why he will never be in the GOAT conversation.)

    Was this footage MJ had recorded for The Last Dance? Or perhaps David Stern knew this was MJ's last Bulls game and had it captured in HD.
    Regardless, this is the greatest game I've seen. 2016 Game 7 was crazy to watch in an Oakland bar, the few annoying Lebron/Cavs fans went ballistic even though Kyrie won that game.

    • @heywella
      @heywella 22 години тому +3

      Yes and no. This was featured as an extra for the Last Dance Blu-Ray. Supposedly the NBA filmed the Bulls in this format for the whole playoffs that year and even some practices. The practice footage and Charlotte playoff footage in the Last Dance is an example of that being true. Some of this was used for an IMAX mini-movie also. The NBA is sitting on tons of footage like this from that run. MJ and the producers just shared this game in full with the permission from the NBA.

    • @ImportAl
      @ImportAl 22 години тому +4

      @@heywella Wow, that's pretty wild that all the footage hasn't all been released yet. Almost like Adam Silver doesn't want it to be. Even older Mike in 4K is clearly so fundamentally polished that it makes the triple-Euro step, minimal hustle or defense, chuck a logo 3 swill NBA we mostly have now seem even more insufferable.

    • @heywella
      @heywella 22 години тому +3

      @@ImportAl the practice footage on The Last Dance had Mike wearing his regular season shoes too, so I'd imagine they have footage like this from the whole season. Imagine getting pro-shot footage of Jordan's last visit to the Garden when he broke out the 1's and dropped 42.
      Yes, I wouldn't put it past Sliver or the "committee". It's all about business more than ever. I bet we'll see 20 Lebalco documentaries when he finally retires, before we see more of this legendary Bulls footage.

If watching one thing makes you pivot, that means you did none of the above. • @thecall0ut
      @thecall0ut 19 годин тому +3

      exactly. All MJ could do is 1-2 dribble and then score. I'd rather see players today do a spin move for no reason, do a gather and then step back right under the rim, or dribble 20x and even under their teammates legs before a wide open lay up.
      Also, Lebron can't dribble like Kyrie, or shoot the middy as effortlessly as KD, or shoot the 3 like Steph, but he can flop and turn the ball over better than everyone, and that's why we fanboys or Bronsexuals know he's the GOAT.

    We got the NBA on NBC back...at the cost of Inside the NBA.
    I'm really, really torn about this, especially since it's confirmed they'll use Roundball Rock again.

    Pippen coulda been MVP if it wasn't for a pesky little detail like 2/16 shooting lol

    Gotta love the "zen master" complaining about a ghost travel on a pair of Malone possessions where he didn't move more than 2 feet combined just so the refs can call an obvious travel on Jordan. Plenty of bad calls to complain about in that game too, just not that one lol.

    MJ kept trying to get Pipen to be pg when he couldn't walk up the floor. He was using to much energy bringing the ball up and it was effecting his shot

    Man....this is a great version of this legendary game 6. The picture quality is so clear. I've never seen so many white folks all together like this in all my life! 😆 nah .......just kidding. I love the angle of the camera behind Jordan as he rose up to take the last shot he would ever take as a Bull. MJ with the smoothest release on his shot.... his shooting hand stretched up and out holding that follow through pose on his shot as the ball rises high up in the air half way towards the basket and then......freeze it right there! Now look at all of the faces on all those Jazz fans behind the basket as all of their eyes are on the ball as it slowly flies through the air towards the basket. Maybe it was a pic a photographer took but it's one of the most iconic sports pics of all time. You can take your time and study it to see all the looks of worry and oh no on those fans faces. Some with their hands over their mouths. Some leaning back. It's like a where's Waldo book. 😆

    I wonder if the same guy can restore the other old footage to a more visually appealing state. I feel like most kids today just can't stomach the resolution from the old film.

      @@Vennnnnnnnnn this was pro-shot by the NBA with camera tech that was the best at that time. It wasn't one guy. The NBA allegedly filmed the whole playoffs and some practices and regular season games in this format as well. It's sitting in their vault.

      @@Vennnnnnnnnn 💯 yea, they had a commercial or teaser that showed the storeroom the NBA had all the reels in. It was around the announcement for The Last Dance. Hope to see it one day. The Charlotte and New Jersey footage looks sick.
