Medvedev came up to the net a lot in this match, the frequency of drop shots is comparable to that of Alcaraz's game, and the outcome is not bad. It seems that he wants to change his game style a little bit in 2024, i.e. shorten the point by going to the net more often. But I bet he will keep staying deep in the baseline when returning the serve, it's already in his DNA and muscle memory.

It's strange that it has taken so long for them to realise that it's much better to return fast serves far back in the court.

@@terrypars52 because there is a clear agenda from the western block to censor anything that has to do with Russia. I think russian players should keep their flags by the way. They're athletes, the conflict has nothing to do with them and I'd bet the vast majority of them are against the war.
So many things to complain that actually matter in this world and you're concerned that there's no flag in a sports competition for a country that has invaded its neighbour and butchered its civilians. Get a life.
