I can't lie, I miss the finals with Cheerito, Taisuke, Hong 10, Alkolil, Bruce, Issei, Wing, Lilou. The newer generation just doesn't quite bring it for me like them. The finals had more of a feel, the battles were way harder, it's easy to tell who's gonna win from the first round now. The music is also trash, but at least the arena looks decent I guess.
I think it's because there are two guys talking shut over the bboys act. Thats takes our attention over the music and the dance itself. They are approaching art as a sport, that's why red bull events its becaming irrelevant

Red Bull NEEDS to learn how to work with camera. Breaking is about so many details, it's been always this way. Yet, Red Bull ALWAYS decides to show the crowd just when some detailed guy like Amir comes down, what the heck... It's not an Eastern festival in the park, for godssake. You're making it look like the event is wack. It's not. Just let the camera stand still in one place, so we can see the stage and both bboys/bgirls, gosh. That's it. Stream is being watched pretty much only by those who are interested in the dancer's performance, we don't care you've got full crowd, lol.
So happy for Vic and to be witness. He a motivation to me. Happy to see Alvin and mini j in the main stage. You both have to come back. The camera changes were a disaster. Issin was Robbed. He surprised me. At the end, was fun too see the event. ✌🏽
It's a miracle! The music is much improved here! Especially after how lackluster it was in 2020 and 2021 I am glad there were real tracks and not just royalty-free beats being played
I remember is the 80's my friends and I use to break dance on cardboard in the front yard and go to battle on the weekends in abandon buildings. We were the originals. I must say these new ones are off the hook.
This competition is fair. It’s about a whole lot more than flips and air flairs. Very small details don’t go unnoticed by the judges. There’s a reason mennos won this so many times. He’s the art

All the moves are fire. I’m sweating buckets trying to learn just a few. The behind POV demonstrations are very helpful. More dancers should teach from that way because it is much easier to learn. Great tutorials!
I like that he pointed out that the lilou vs cloud final was controversial cause a lot of people and I mean a lot thought Cloud should have won. But either way both of them are legends!

Nowadays breakdancing became just a set of power moves and display of power more than anything. Very few dance to the beat and if any not for the whole duration of the round. While Lilou did some hard b-dance moves most of them didnt hit the beat at all... while Cloud didnt do traditional b-dance moves all of them was reflecting to the beat. Break dancing formed a frameset that is limiting the dance... a shame to see.

Yeah I noticed that and it revitalized all my hope in breakdancing. They're doing stuff that the best innovators were doing years ago and they're doing it faster and at a younger age. It's dope!
That Yuki vs Wigor battle was really impressive! Yuki brought that theme in his second round with the toe stand to sissy squat after his flip landed on it, and then he finished with toe slides in his footwork that brought back memories of K Mel and El Nino battles. Yuki had a little bit of Remind flavor in his top rock. I appreciate that, because Remind is a legend. Also, Wigor is super rubbery, but he doesn't lose the beat. I enjoyed following his flow and freezes. His tops and flavor reminded me of Rebirth, that guy from Ground Zero crew back in the day.
idk if i’m the only one, but i think these results are fair. almost every battle was close. it’s not really a robbery if its a close call. i was at the event and i can say that most people at the venue were satisfied with the results. congrats to all the winner!
