I remember going to a lockdown protest in late 2020 which ended at speakers corner after the police shutdown and stormed the stage to stop anyone speaking at Trafalgar square. They cordoned off speakers corner, created rows upon rows of police and arrested anyone who wouldn't leave the area.

I was not preaching there last week. This is the first I have heard about it. The Muslims (“Islamist” is a meaningless term used to get Muslims and Islam off the hook) have cultural values different from native Brits and, thus, cannot but disrupt attempts at speech which they do not like. I have certainly said things to Muslims about their alleged founder that go far beyond asserting the Deity of Christ; and the usual threats follow. For free speech to endure there may have to be a constant police presence where the police are told to imagine the Muslims are anti-vaxxers and the Christians are transies. People would be in the right to withhold payment of the portion of Council Taxes they pay for the Commissioner of Police for dereliction of duty and not fulfilling their obligations to the public.
