    I love that you layer a bunch of products! Pretty much no one else does that on here (except manes by mell, she does it sometimes). Everyone is usually using a hefty dose of curl cream & then a lot of gel or foam/mousse. Layering multiple products definitely works the best for me. So any fine haired curlies that may be reading my comment, you can definitely pull this off just like Chelle did! As long as the products aren't heavy (like with a lot of Shea butter, etc), my hair can take in quite a bit of gel if they aren't heavy, and I swear my curls will take on insanely large amounts of foam lol.

      I layer like a mad woman! I did it with my clients too. They were dubious at first until they realized that it just works so much better and they use less product overall. I’m pinning your comment to help fine haired curlies who might think it’s just too much. As you mentioned it’s really all about what products you’re combining.

    I really appreciate how you explain how to use products and techniques for fine hair as well as showing how you style your own hair.
    I have fine wavy hair that shows a lot of promise for becoming more curly, so this curly hair journey is exciting for me. My hair is fine, but I “have a lot of trees in the forest” as a stylist told me once. 😊

    I washed my hair just like I always do. Conditioner, curl cream,gel and used aquage working spray. I also root clipped, thenI let my hair set for 5 min. Then air dried it .When it was still a bit damp I scrunched in some mousse. Diffused it until mousse and hair was dry. I sprayed my whole head again with the aquage spray. I diffused again. I left my hair in its cast overnight, pineapples and silk pillowcase. The next morning I took my hair down to let it settle. Then I used verb ghost oil to SOTC and did a really good root fluff. OMG!! My hair was the best it's ever looked!!

    Great video. Since I started layering products in my hair in 2019, I have noticed a significant improvement in my definition and longevity. One of my current go to combos is AG Recoil, Verb CFG, brush style, and top at the end with a little AG Liquid Effects . I get volume, definition, and longevity.

The only thing I would like to see that I haven’t seen is when you do you fav gels, mousses etc., I would’ve liked to have seen the product itself (consistency) rather than you just showing/shaking the bottle😂❤

    Your day 3 hair looks amazing 👏 ! I took notes with this video. Wrote it out in steps as you explained. The dew points are creeping back up here & they usually stay in the 70's during the summer. So I need all the help I can get. I am also going to try your line up used here. I too have them but gave not used them in a while (except for the Curlsmith Foam, I use it every washday.) Ty so much for taking the time to explain all of your tips & tricks! You are a blessin'! Blessings!

    New subscriber here, and I'm officially obsessed with your videos! So helpful!!!
    I've spent years trying to understand how to take care of my wavy hair (and now my daughter's slightly curlier, coarser hair that's MUCH more fragile than mine). I'm...okay at it. It's still really overwhelming for me a lot of days.
    I can't spend a lot of time going section-by-section because it tends to trigger my chronic pain in my wrists if I'm at it too long. So, I'm more of a whole-head-scrunch then plop person. Still, your videos are making me feel like I really can be successful with this!
    Any chance you have vids about "easy" routines for kids, especially for keeping a hyperactive kid's hair healthy and detangled as long as possible (or detangling tips for non-wash days)?
    I'm dying laughing at that bonnet on your face, btw. We do so many weird-looking things at home in order to look better in public, don't we?😆

    Sorry for so many comments lol, I keep thinking of more I want to say ☺️ You can also SOTC with a foam! I saw someone on UA-cam mention it & thought it sounded a little crazy, but when I tried it I liked it! Once I realized it wasn't scary lol, I decided to try just dry refreshing w/ a foam in like day 3 or 4, & it works amazingly! I find the innersense foam works best for this compared to all the other foams I've used. It will also give your hair some grit, which is beneficial for my curls that somehow flatten without actually losing the curl (for the most part)... Some of my curls actually seem to tighten as the days go by (not my looser ones though), but they simultaneously begin to flatten if that makes sense.

    • @CurlyChelle547
      @CurlyChelle547  2 роки тому +1

      Lol. No worries. I love comments! I’ve seen that too but haven’t tried it. I can see how it would work though. I wish my hair liked the innersense foam…😞. I also have yet to find a foam I can dry refresh with. They mostly just make a big mess!

      @@CurlyChelle547 I just used the Moroccan oil curl mousse (actually a foam) lady night to dry refresh my day 3 curls, mostly out of curiosity. I've only used it twice ever, & since I used it during this way cycle I figured I'd see. It wasn't bad. Didn't help with volume like innersense does for refresh, but it did help some of my curls become more defined. I'll probably try it again ins night when my hair actually needs a refresh, because my curls were still looking fine last night. I just got bored lol. I just got my travel size living proof curl enhancer (I guess they do carry them without the whole kit), & it came with a small sample packet if the gel so I might try them tonight.

    I need to do that glazing then gentle scrunching because i think my violent scrunching while hair is even soaking wet or damp really amps up the frizz. Guess it is the "violent" part i need to change. 😆

    Your curls looked gorgeous!! When you were saying how the KCC doesn't give you a ton of volume & that it wasn't one of your more voluminous looks, I was sitting here thinking "Volume GOALS!"😅I wish my looked that full!
    This was such a great video!💜💜 Very thorough & informative with tons of great tips! BTW, I occasionally do the gel/serum mix to SOTC the next morning, and a really great gel to use for this is ouidad climate control, the white bottle. I know it's less hold than the red, but you're only getting so much from such a small amount of gel anyway, and the white one is super thin & runny & has great slip on its own, so once mixed w/my Moroccan oil, it's divine! Plus I can't stand that gel for styling so this way I get to use it lol. I've had the same travel size bottle for almost a year.

    • @CurlyChelle547
      @CurlyChelle547  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you! I think it’s because I know the volume potential my hair has so to me it doesn’t look voluminous. Lol. I’m glad you enjoyed the video! It’s kinda funny because I had an idea in my head how I was going to do this video and then I took it several times further and just kept going with allllll the information! Or a good chunk of it anyway. I’ve got 20+ years worth of information in my brain! The moroccanoil with the Ouidad sounds perfect for your typical weather! I haven’t mixed serum and gel in a while. To give you an idea of how parched it gets here, yesterday we had 9% humidity and a dew point of 13! 😳. Don’t really need humidity protection. 😂

    Hi! I found your channel awhile back and love following you! We have similar hair (texture, thickness, etc) and we live in the same dry climate (I’m in southeast Wyoming). I find that what works for you often works for me! I recently have been loving the results I get with Verb’s curl line, especially the volume, as I have heavy hair. The only problem I have is that using just a curl cream doesn’t provide me with enough hold. I can’t seem to find a gel or mousse that works well with this curl cream. I’d love to know if you have any recommendations for a product or products to top off this wonderful curl cream. Thanks so much!

    • @CurlyChelle547

      Thank you! I’m glad you enjoy my channel! I LOVE that curl cream with the AG mousse gel! I haven’t tried it with too many other products because every time I reach for the curl cream, I automatically grab the AG. That being said, I have paired the curl cream with the Biolage gelée as well and I like that combo too (Biolage goes with basically everything) but I like the AG better. Lots of voluminous hold from both the curl cream and the mousse gel. And I of course add my Aquage working spray. Hope this helps! Thank you for watching!

    Do you have any hair spray recommendations that are aerosol but non-alcohol. Pump hair sprays get on my nerves bc the spray nozzles usually get gunked up and I prefer the finer mist of an aerosol.

      I use a diffuser to dry my hair until the very end. After the rest of it is dry, I take the diffuser off and hit my roots without the diffuser to get some volume. By then the cast is set so it won’t cause frizz. I have a video showing my diffusing routine. Thank you for watching!
