Just went to my car and brought my Bean Flips and realized I had my plugs improperly installed and that even though I’m parked in the shade with my slingshots covered 101 is not a latex friendly environment. Thanks for encouraging me to think a little more clearly. At 70 that encouragement is appreciated.
Oh I have done the same thing, you know the I'll just be a minute running into Home Depot than a hour and a half later you come out with $1000 less and have bands you can't shoot. It's a lesson I myself have learned the hard way.
Thanks. My Bean Flip arrived yesterday when I got home from fishing. After your informative video I’m likely to rig my bands correctly. I’ve been shooting The Sparrow for a couple weeks now and am hooked on slingshots.
I know this is an old video but just maybe you can answer a question for a month old newbie slingshot shooter, what is the inner diameter of the occularis holes?
the plugs are not efficient for looped tubes. you did not try to put in the balls in. even if you do they still come out.. So.. i Shoot nothing but looped tubes. This is why i stayed with the Tourque . This plug system was not good for me on the Ocularis even i did everything just the way you did with the looped tube, plugs still came out , try to shoot looped tubes see what happens.. Because of this i dont even use the Ocularis anymore.. I dont know why you emphesized only flat bans
You need to read the manual bud. You don't use the balls with with tubes. You have them in backwards then if they fall out. Point blank. Even Nathan Masters did a video about that. If installed correctly it's physically impossible.... Furthermore, it's a highly copied design because of the fact they works so well. But you need to put them in right.

Yes, they are very addictive! Glad you found this informative. Have fun with the new frames.
Ridiculously simple , excellent 👍
Thank you! They truly work great as long as used the right way.
I hope they bring back the colored plug options. I joined in right when they stopped selling them.
Always give input. SimpleShot listens.
Gret review for Ocularis Pugs
Thanks! Glad you liked it.
Please make a tutorial on how you wrapped the axiom handle??
Will do soon!
Nice...if the plug's break are you without a functional slingshot??
You can make plugs from wood or anything. They are a hard rubber and will not break but people seem to loose them all the time.
Is the frame smooth inside the holes or tapered or have a flange?
By the way, best install video! I’ve been looking for a while trying to figure out which slingshot to start with
Thanks for watching. It is a straight 19mm hole with smooth sides. The Ocularis Plugs have a slight taper to them.
I would choose another model for starting out. The round tips make consistent aiming more difficult than models with square tips. 😉
@ thanks! Happy New Year!
You are very welcome. Thank you, have a fun and safe New Year's Eve!
What size is that ball bearing?
They use a 3/8" bearing.

The Ocularis Plug holes in the frame are 19mm.
@@SLINGSHOTFEVERpullshootrepeat awesome thanks!
No worries, you are very welcome.

Let me redo mine. Thanks.
Glad to help!
