An extract from ABC Triple J unearthed - Smacked Youth is an energetic punk project from Newcastle, NSW fronted by Sam D’Agostino.
In 2020, Smacked Youth released singles “Bones” and “My Station”, which landed on Spotify's New Music Friday, Rock Out and Local Noise playlists as well as receiving plays on Triple J’s Home and Hosed and Short Fast Loud.
Sam was back in the studio in February/March of 2021 recording Smacked Youth’s debut EP titled “I'll Catch You on the Wrong Side” featuring the first single “Wrong Side” which was released on May 21st followed by the EP on June 18th.
Roaring into 2022 with an epic support for DZ Deathrays and the upcoming release of the single "Hyperstatic" on August 18th.
