All looked delicious and the sandwiches looked surprisingly healthy. The bao really looked yummy. My favorites at the manapua truck was manapua and pork dumplings because the portions were large and the strawberry slush with ice cream. Thanks for the video.
Amanda & Felix, I’ve been watching you guys for years! Love your videos! Coming back to Oahu this March for a week, from Canada. Big foodie. Can you give me your top 5 places to eat, and I’ll try to get to all of them while I’m visiting. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
Aloha guys, I hope you newly weds are both doing great. The sandwiches look amazing! I love a great sandwich, never tried pastrami sandwich before. The Manapua, and dumplings look so good!
I love watching both of you enjoying and sharing the local food ❤ Always a lot of fun & makes me wanna travel to Hawaii to enjoy it as well ❤ Thank you so much for all the great videos, your efforts and hard work
Amanda and Felix, my family and I enjoy watching your videos very much. We used to live in Honolulu many years ago and both my kids were born there so it’s a really neat blast from the past. Thank you for the content that you guys create and keep up the good work.
More places to add to my list! Yup, Diamond Head strawberry soda does bring back memories of being at Summer Fun and buying it from the vending machine. As for the manapua truck, didn't have those in Palolo when I was growing up. It was the manapua man walking past the house with his two tin cans carried on a stick over his shoulder, yelling "Manapua!" as he went along. Those were the good old days. I think they were only 5 cents. Felix, did you mean to say Bozo the Clown?
Hands down Mala Market has the best sandwiches. I tried their Veggie Sandwich (Mala Delight) with Bacon & Avocado for a nice twist on a BLT. 🔥 I gotta try it with the plantation iced tea next time. I swear your content keeps getting better and better🤙🏻😎 Felix…where’d you get your shirt?!
Thanks for sharing these real gems! Everything looked great...I thought about that cheese 🧀 sandwich 🥪 in Seattle to go with your soup.. chief's kiss's. I love my veggies 🥬. good job on this review 👍❤️👏
Mele Kalikimaka!! All those places look amazing! 😋 I'll definitely have to try them when I go back. I love your flannel jacket, Amanda! Thank you for another amazing video ❤
Those braised pork belly bao buns look fantastic! I will have to add this to my list of places to try! I'm over in Hawaii Kai all the time and have never been to these places! Mahalo! 😎🤙🏾
I’m a big fat guy who loves meat and fried food, but I’m not so far down the rabbit hole that I can’t enjoy a nice salad from time to time. The salad on the sandwiches at the first place looked amazing.
Wow! Gotta do Bobo Bao and Mala Market soon. Hawaii Kai got lots of good places to eat. I like shopping at that Costco, so now I know more places to eat at. Thank you 🫶🏻❣️
When I used to live in southern CA, there was this pastrami place, The Hat, that gave tons of pastrami in their sandwich. There were enough pastrami to make 2-3 sandwiches. Not to mention unlimited jalapeno peppers. Just went back in June 2023, it has gone down. Pastrami portion was reduce. You had to ask for the jalapeno peppers. And price went up.
You beat me to it! I was about to say the same thing. For me, it’s hands down the best pastrami sandwich anywhere. There’s a generous amount of pastrami, but it’s not dry, it’s dripping in juices.
I went to the Hat today, because now I was craving it lol. Someone else mentioned it, so I took it as a sign to go. The Hat in San Gabriel, the portion I guess you can say was reduced a little, but there was some that was falling out. But maybe not as much as before, but still good. The price has gone up, it was $12 for the Pastrami, and for a large fries it was $5, so it came out to $18. But, with that you can split it between 2 people. The fries are generous. They put it in a brown bag. There’s a little tray, but there’s way more than it can fit.
Mmm, those sandwiches looked really healthy and delicious! (Though I'm sure I would make it less healthy by adding bacon. 😆) Give you guys credit for going anywhere near a mall at Christmas time! Thanks for another great video, and the outtakes were hilarious!
Mele kalikimaka Foodie Ohana! We are a week away from the big day. What a way to celebrate but with ono sandwiches and hot soup. Love you guys! 🤙🏽❤️🍜🥪🌴🎄
Yum -- healthy, 'ono, and sweet! All in one convenient location (places to park and sit down to eat). I don't know how you guys could eat all that in an hour or so, but I assume you took some home. The sandwiches made me want to eat at my favorite sandwich place in my hometown of Mānoa, Andyʻs Sandwiches and Smoothies (between Starbucks and Off the Hook). Have you reviewed them in a video before? I know everyone lines up for the poke at Off the Hook these days, but Andy and his family have been serving fresh, healthy ʻono food since I was a kid. The Vietnamese-Chinese restaurant in Hawaiʻi Kai looks interesting. Maybe the owners are from both backgrounds. And the Kawaii treats look like some local hybrids, too. Mahalo for sharing these ʻono-looking items from places I haven't tried yet.
@@AmandaFelixEats at whole foods cafe they have something like what you had, just w/o the coconut milk, so i guess i could get that and ask instead of the og milk, ask for coconut milk instead? Thanks!
You guys are so spoiled, "cold windy day?" It's 63 degrees inside my house as I watch this.🤣 It's all relative, I guess. Cafe du Monde is the place in New Orleans that makes coffee and Beignets. A lot of Vietnamese migrated to the area and many work there now.
I worked at The Haven making sandwiches WAY back in the day.... This place looks like an incarnation of the fantastic sandwich place. My all time favorite was a tuna avocado with bacon (called The Kamehameha) I LOVE me a sandwich with all the avocado and veggies - OH, and maui onion! Defiantly checking this place when I visit home this February. ❤🤙🏾
Aloha Mr and Mrs 👰🤵 Sandwich🥪 place looks so yummy! I got full just watching you two😆 Soup n sammi, bao , fries, sweet drinks. Fun ❤ Mahalo for ono grinds ideas . Cannot wait to return to your Hawaii next spring. 🛩🌍🛩
I love the sound of the dove singing in the background ❤🕊🕊🕊

That sounds like our exact order! Onolicious🤙🏻🤤
Just all the wonderful places you share.

The steamed buns were so soft! We agree, love a good sandwich! 🤙

Mahalo Jody! We were just thinking it reminded us of Andy’s!! We have reviewed off the hook in the past but might need to revisit soon🤤🤤🤤
Yup da manapua truck. Root or orange float. Used to ask for 2 scoops of ice cream in my slushie.
2 scoops ice cream, yum!🤤🤤🤤
😂flavour snot!!
😂😂😂
i wonder if i can make that coffee with the left over coconut cream I have and it will be something like that, or is it a spesfic kind of coffee?
You could try it with a shot of espresso.. or a smokey/ dark roast coffee 👍

It’s getting down to mid-60s in the nights! 🥶 lol
There is something different with Amanda looks. I can’t say what. But it is goooooood….
Delicious offerings. FYI: Diamond Head sodas on sale at Sam's Club. LOL. Gonna make a soda float tonight for dessert!
That sounds terrific! It hits spot every now and then! 🤤
