Thank you sooo much! I watched a ton of reviews and the footage looked so beautiful, then I buy one and watch my videos and they are horrible. I returned a GoPro MAX to get this and the footage looked worse when the reviews and comparisons said the One X2 would be better. I feel so stupid, of course I should have thought of the shutter speed and iso. Duhhh, I got too lazy and left everything on auto. Didn't want to fiddle with the tiny screen. Super appreciate your video, it makes such a dramatic difference. I should be able to reduce the noise and get rid of most of the jitteriness now. Thanks!
So nice that you could return a camera if you don't like it. In my country what you've bought never have guarantee that you could do that. Once purchased its done.
Gigapixel ai video enchancer perfectly remove noise, restore night videos. Not sure about this model but can try to shot with high iso and process it with gigapixel trial demo.
Excellent video. I like the night shots much better than I thought I would after seeing other reviews. The X2 is now definitely on my wish list. Thanks a lot.
You asked for comments so here is my honest opinion. The juddering from the stabilisation even on your best settings here is disappointing - I say this as a long term One X owner and huge fan of this 360 degree format. To me, the night shots work best on the hyperlapse as that kind of distracts from the issues. I do think these cameras are amazing in daylight but not designed for moving night shots (walking around) and appreciate your time and effort checking out if different settings can help, they do to some extent. I would think that keeping the camera static on a tripod would work well though (as an ambience video - maybe moving from one location to another on a street instead of walking). I have to say I am so very pleased with my Insta One X despite the limitations and have never had so much fun with family etc. creating unique photos and video.
This video is very informative. Now I'm considering to buy this camera knowing its possibilities and limits. Many thanks. Just one thing : at 2700 k a color is warm (yellow and red) while at 7000 k it's cold - blue :-) I think that this camera is design to enhance one's creativity. By setting the WB like you do, I find the ambiance is pleasant.
2700k lights are warmer then 7000k, but the camera shifts the image in the opposite direction to compensate, so 2700k is bluer and 7000k warmer when comparing the wb settings in the camera. It’s a little confusing in the beginning
i watched this last yr without an insta and i dont get it, then i get one. i forgot this video. then me like using it in lowlight is MEh not so good. its bad. now , thanks God I found this again!!! so good tricks!!
Can you please make a video about one lense steady cam mode in different situations. low light, vlog mode, stabilisation, pano photos etc. just insta 360 one x2. Thank you!
Thank you for sharing this video. Very helpful. Could you tell me, if you are able to see the cars' liscence plates? I usually cycle in very dark and need a camera that can see 360 and able to see liscence plates in case of accident.
Only seeing this now, a bit late heading into summer. One other tip is to not move the camera. As a 360 degree camera can make transitions by it's own in post it's perfectly possible to create a great sequence by not moving with the camera recording, but to take some shots one-by-one.
Very useful video! What settings do you recommend on routes where there is a fast alternation between a lot of and little light? For example, while cycling along a mountain path and passing from the forest to an open meadow and vice versa. Often, in the transition from little to much light, there is a moment of a few seconds in which the illuminated part appears almost "burned". How can this annoying effect be avoided?
Can you please tell me how you can pan around the 360 photos like you’re doing at 11:30? Are you doing that in your video editing software? Please give me some guidance on how you do this, please!
Ok so first open the Insta360 app Then click stories Then click “create new story” Then choose your 360 photo Then a new interface will appear(timeline and other edit options) Then click reframe 360 clip Then choose the method you would like to edit the photo(now video)-for example viewfinder/key frame/ combination of both of them Then add key frames and export in highest quality Hoped it helped …… :)
Hi , thank you how to night shot with insta 360 one x2. And all accessories parts , EXEPT i did not see : it’s USB-c cover part on sale world widely in the US ,for cam owner who has lost usb-c cover? Thank you . From Peter, usa
I really hate the jello/blur effect every few frames, when the camera is moving. I think is coming from the stabilization engine. Did you find a system to avoid it ? I think it's impossible, the only way to go is keep the camera on a tripod and reframe later. I think that this problem will show even with the smoothiest movement (for example, camera on a drone moving at constant speed in straight line). I will try that when I find spare time....
Two questions.. Is there anyway to rename saved custom settings? Is there a way to still control the camera from its touch screen while it is previewing in my phone?
Resolution isn’t the only factor in sharpness, especially for video. For instance on my Sony a7iv 1080 cropped is actually sharper than 4K, a bit counterintuitively. You can’t just say “x camera will be sharper than Y camera because it has more resolution.”
thx for the test - for low light short answer - nop´:) looks like its filmed with a potato or a phone from 1999. Its a daylight cam with a tiny sensor.
Ouch i was going to get one of these where i may still do but its a shame that i would litterally not bother using it at night :/ no matter what you do and settings it is not usable and i get better night video from my mobile phone so guess i would not be doing any 360 videos at night
Great video as always! Do you use iPhone or Android phone? I ordered mine last week, but I use Android at the moment and I've seen some reviews saying that the phone app is crashing a lot in Android
Bought the one x2, having a lot of grain in a few videos even in moderate light, having been shooting primarily auto mode 5.7 k sd or hdr, any tips to remove the grain, also due to downsampling the video quality on exporting to full HD is not that great, what do you think?
whenever i start recording, after i save the video and go to edit it, the clip seems pretty distorted. (jello effect) does anyone know how to fix it,because i dont know whats causing it. I have insta360 one x2, and im using lens guard. i will upload the video to show you the problem.
He saved the video without steady shot checked :)))))... Also Steady shot makes a more blur image... But how to put it there... Ruins the commercial for the camera :))) Qoocam 8k is far better...

Very good video on the X2, think I’ll definitely order on e for my birthday in January 👍🏼
Did you order it?
I did, very happy with it too. 👍🏼
Thank you ... I thought mu camera is faulty but it works great with these settings
Thanks.
This was very helpful.
How would the setting be for filming the night sky in the country while there is a lightning storm?
Pls give your suggestion which one will go for UA-cam vlogs x2 ot x3..?. Note: I have limited budget.
Thanks for this very informative video. thumbs up. One thing: did you have the flowstate stabilisation on, on that footage here?
Grazie per aver condiviso questi tuoi test. Ho acquistato da pochi giorni la Insta One X2 quindi ho da imparare. Ciao 🙋♂️

When o when are they coming with an affordable micro four thirds version? I hate the footage quality of 360 cameras.
Great video
This cam can take video(like hero mode)at 1440?
I can't seem to take videos in full screen mode or landscape. It's always on a horizontal or portrait. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the video! My conclusion after watching it is not to use this camera at night... The quality of the output is not appealing to watch.

YOU MISSED HDR MODE ?
I don’t understand why you didn’t get any flicker shooting at 30fps. Very good comparisons. Manual always wins
flicker depends on shutter speed not fps. if you live in 60hz country and set 1/60 shutter, there wont be flicker
