I bought one of these because I liked the factory look but when installing the new bezel, I found that there really was no way of holding it on to the tailgate. The pervious one had foam pads, one on each side, with some heavy duty 2 sided tape on the pads that kept the old one in place. With this kit, you have the foam pads but no tape and the bezel just falls right out with the slightest touch, at least mine did. The bezel has a VERY loose fit but it does fit. I tried some ( not the best) 2 sided tape which heald for a little while (about a week) but now it's back to just popping out again. Today I bought some extreme outdoor 2 sided tape, I'm hoping it will work better. One quick tip, when you have your old bezel off, give your latches a good lubeing, it will help things Immensely.
I have this same lock, it is only good for the casual thief who pulls on your handle and walks away. After installing mine and before putting the bezel on I realized that it takes five seconds to pop the bezel off and another few seconds to either bend the locking plate with Channel locks or remove the rods with your fingers and unlock the tailgate. This is a major problem with the way the tailgates are manufactured. At the very least I would also add a hose clamp with a security screw to the left tailgate hinge, that will at least prevent the tailgate from being stolen even if the crook gets what's in the bed - if anything is there. Of course you won't be able to remove your tailgate but some of the new ones cost upwards of $2,000. There is a video on UA-cam where a high school kid in the hood was busted for stealing a tailgate but they let him off easy - (I'm sure you can guess why). A few months later they caught him again and when they went to his house his backyard had a huge collection of tailgates that he was selling on Facebook. Funny how his parent didn't think of asking him why the backyard was filled with tailgates.

Actually bud you can have it take the same key as your truck. Just take the lock to a locksmith at a hardware store and a spare truck key and they can reset the tumblers to match your truck key. Think it cost between 8 - 15 bucks.
Why don’t y’all who make these videos, make it a step by step video for us women? I got the concept but would it be that easy for a woman to do a do it yourself install?
In reality you're correct but most people, like myself, buy these things because they have installed a bed cover, which can make getting to that screw impossible, depending on the type of bed cover. If it's a soft top bed cover, which most people have due to cost, at least it will keep most of the "honest" people honest. At least that's the plan.

Can you take the key out with it unlocked for unloading and walking away so Keys arent being left behind

Yes it’s pretty easy to take that bolt out id recommend a tamper proof torx bolt or better yet a hard bed cover.
Can you use the old trim bezel? My trim bezel has a backup camera on .

Great concept, but all the thief has to do is unscrew that same bolt and would open the the tailgate
actually , the lock comes with a security screw, so once the screw is in it cant be unscrewed. but it comes with a regular Philips too.
