@@thenut3731 I have a caique and I do this, and in turn he does it to me when I’m eating and if you owned one you would see they are like dogs, they like rough housing and general play. . But I’m more confused as to why you tell the uploader to take care of it. What makes you think they aren’t? Straight away from the vibrant colour, the weight and the beak that it’s very well looked after.

Never disturb an animal when he's eating or waching himself, even for fun, never. The animal can start to hate you or looses trust in you.

I guess you have no idea about life of parrots. They fight, they play, they steal each other food and under no circumstance they lose trust. I had my white bellied for 15 years. She steals food from my plate, I steal her food for fun and she love it. She loves a chase.

@jeffk3672 I'd agree if it wasn't a caique. Caiques basically thrive off constant rough housing and annoyance. If you ever watch them in the wild, or even in a flock in captivity, this type of teasing is their default. They're actually much more likely to be miserable when understimulated. For nearly all other bird species, this would be mean, but for caiques it's healthy. It's one of the reasons they're so high maintenance.

Wow. I absolutely love how other people attempt to try and tell someone they dont know how to take care of their pet. "Never touch a bird this way', "Youre mean, how would upu feel if i poked ypur beak", "youre going to break the bond and trust that you and your bird have". If you honestly feel that you have to tell someone you do not know, who has a parrot youve never met, thats rude. Whats funny is if i posted a short of myself and my 11 year old cat roughousing, i know some of you will tell me, "you raised your cat incorrectly", "dont play with your cat like that", "as someone who has owned cats my entire like, you never want to wncourage your cat to bite you." If you consider yourself and expert, open your own yt channel, and say youre the leading expert on parrot care.
I can say this though, if he wouldve posted two parrots bothering each other while eating, the same people attempting to repremand him for booping his parrot on the beak, would say, "awwww thats so cute/adorable lol".
I have one they look little but there not in person and they will take a chunk off your finger there actually one more agresive parrots , don’t let that cuteness fool you

That’s how you lose a finger when they’re normal adults… not smart
you must assert your dominance. if you're messing with him and back of when he pecks, all you're doing is telling him that's a viable behaviour to get rid of you.
Place your fingers near him and do not remove them. only when he is docile and quiet do you remove your hands. Otherwise he will assume the flock leader position, and 'assert himself' over you whenever he feels threatened or angry.

Way to many people here who haven’t got a caique parrot but yet somehow possess the knowledge of having one and because they watch animal videos it means they are qualified vets. Caique parrots are a mischief bird. They love rough play, they love to play with toys and they love to make noise (exactly like this one) even if the uploader wasn’t doing that I can hands down guarantee he would have made that noise anyway
