Edit:if im not mistaken,u can just dig a hole along the shoreline so ur enemy cant land their boat.its such a waste of hero just to let them stay there while they can scout the water

whirlpool always kills units from your weakest stack so you can just split gnolls into 1-stacks before going in it with big army

not sure if its been patched - but you can dig holes on shores to stop landing on the shore - would reduce it down to 1 hero needed to block that area while keeping it open to yourself
