went over this right before an interview , and did not pass it , the most critical part is missing here is how we find the right user segments for the monitization prioritize them you mainly cover models here but its not worth skipping the most important step.
For many product sense questions, we typically mention the user journey and its pain points. However, in monetization type questions, I'm curious why we don't need to mention pain points.
There are two kinds of problems, based on their origin. 1. Origin is Business: Monetization, Retention, ARPU, Activation etc. 2. Origin in Customer: Not sufficient sellers on the platform, bad UX etc. No customer gonna feel the need that I am not being monetized. Hence, we need not mention pain points in this case.
Do you have a WhatsApp or Telegram community? Nowadays every PM hang around these tools as the friction of engagement is quite low on these platforms compared to others like Slack or Discord etc.
