Bebop Dominant scale on Guitar, pt. 2
The Bebop Dominant scale can be a useful tool for outlining harmony and playing changes. Taking a deeper dive here through an exercise called Jazz Calisthenics that outlines the 3rd and 7th of the chord, also referred to as the ‘guide tones’.
‘The lick’ when I was in college referred to a different bebop cliche. Here I am demonstrating that ‘lick’ and a quick variation to throw into your improv repertoire. Check out this and a couple videos demonstrating further studies and techniques that you can get from the Bebop Dominant scale.
