So I noticed that in the game-play we are shown there was no Boost meter, does this mean that boost in infinite or removed?
Also, in relation to Green Hill Paradise Act 1, is there a way to give yourself rings using console commands? I want to mess around with Super Sonic and not have to worry about 'running' out of rings (that was a pun).
Gabriel Wright The Boost has been... Re-imagined. The new Mach State mechanic gives Sonic all of the bonuses the Boost would normally yield: Heightened speed, invulnerability, ring magnetism, etc. However, it is the means by which this state is achieved and maintained that has been changed.
You could say that, yes, this mode is limitless so long as you, the player, are capable of handling the speed.
As for cheating, all console commands will be disabled for the final release. As for Super Sonic, well, let's just say that by the time you've actually gathered all 7 Emeralds, you shouldn't need a cheat-box to get you the rings you need. You'll be skilled enough at the game to get them yourself.

This is how Sonic could finally be properly integrated into 3D

That means you did a good job on this.
I played the level just now, and I absolutely love the concept! I think this has a ton of potential, but I'd like to make a few critiques/suggestions about Sonic's controls:
- Buff spin dash. It feels awfully slow and often feels "just not enough" to get over certain obstacles
- Map crouch/spin to a shoulder button, or maybe X instead of B (Xbox button scheme). It felt quite awkward to charge up a spindash often times -- I think it's crucial that this should feel quick and easy .
- Add a button to turn the camera around 180 degrees. This might make half-piping a little more intuitive.
- Let Sonic bounce a la Sonic Adventure 2, but not quite as high as with the current bubble powerup, and let the bubble powerup simply make you bounce at the greater height. This could help getting out of small pits, especially those with water.
- Buff homing attack slightly and make it act more like Soinc Adventure 2:. That is, if he doesn't lock onto an enemy, leave Sonic's vertical speed alone and set his horizontal speed to something somewhat quick for one frame. It'll feel looser but way more responsive, IMO. SA2's woosh and "Hut!" sound effects wouldn't be a terrible inclusion either, haha.
Anyhow, I still think you should continue forward with this. Running down that first big mach-speed ramp was really something else, and I wish Sega would come up with stuff like this. Good luck on this project man!

Been watching you pop up in threads since January showing progress and taking feedback, it's looking great my man.
It has been quite the ride, hasn't it? But it's not over just yet! A bit longer to get a bit more polish in and then it'll be released to the masses!
Can't wait for this release man but until it is released guess ill have to tide myself over with sonic world

I noticed that you commented on a few of my VERY OLD videos. Some of which I had forgotten existed! Still, welcome to the channel. Keep an eye out for the game when it releases in the coming months.
I personally think this is an amazing step towards a good sonic game, and its awesome that you took influence from the sonic boom intro, as that is the image of a sonic game that I have. I would say though, make the levels more of a giant landscape with massive open hills (like the sonic boom intro and the sanic ball game), its awkward trying to do fast in tight places with platforms. It would be great to make the movement natural, like at 1:50, not necessarily an obvious move or technique, but it feels real and instinctive. nice song choice by the way
Not bad, not bad! Though I think Sonic rolling around without some kind of 'ball shaped aura' looks kinda weird.

love the "mach state" mechanic, not really a fan of the random snagging on scenery that happens sometimes. Overall a great project and would love to see more. The landscape, while fun to navigate, feels a bit empty in terms of enemies, though I do appreciate the effort you put in to get the enemies you do have instead of just using the block enemies that most SDKs seem to use.
Also, this game has made me realize why modern Sonic games auto script some of the crazier pathways that Sonic takes in his games. While the loops are pretty easy to do, some of the more advanced pathways take some getting used to and most people will fall off them before actually getting a handle on it. Overall though it feels satisfying when you do successfully get through them.
This is great! Sega should really take notes for sonic forces.

I've noticed that a number of people glitch out when they hit the big ring at the end of the level (along with occasionally not being able to hit the ring at all). That, and the obvious Hyper Sonic music glitch, if you've already been Super Sonic at some point during the level. Those should probably be fixed at some point.
Also, do you plan on creating additional levels and content, or is this it? If that's all, would you release some level creation tools so people could make their own levels?
