- It might be my favourite walk into a rink anywhere in the OHL. Or maybe that's just the beer. Still, it's pretty cool. Probably cooler than the broadcast "booth." But I'll leave all of that for you to discover in this little behind-the-scenes walking tour of TD Place.
The spot where you broadcast from is where I used to sit when I was going to university in Ottawa in the late 1980s.
Back then the '67s would draw 1,200 to 1,400 per game. Pre-Senators. Made me wonder then if Ottawa was a junior hockey town.
Nice tour
It will be a shame to see this old building go if and when they tear it down to build a new north side stands. Lots of memories in that building.
That's nice. The Kitchener Memorial Auditorium is the bee's knees. Go Rangers!
Thanks!
I used to work there a few years ago
in the shot briefly when the recording started is the oldest building still in existence where the Stanley Cup was once awarded: The Aberdeen Pavillion.
I've always lived about 10 mins from here and have been to countless 67s games. It's really nice after the renovation but honestly not too different. Great arena and tbh if it was bigger it would be a better rink than the CTC out in Kanata
I attended a RedBlacks game a few years ago but have yet to visit the arena portion. Thanks for the tour.
glad you enjoyed it!
This is by far my favorite OHL arena and I've been to a whopping 3 of them LOL.
Seriously though, cool vibe here.
whoa whoa whoa mr fancy pants!!! dont get too braggy ahahaha
It's all coming down in the next few years...
Is this the home opener of the 67s because if it is I was there
this was October 7th
