Hi there. This was a one day trip, though it was a 5:00am to 7:00pm kind of day. And my itinerary was exactly what played out in the video, from sunrise at the Fire Walk to sunset at White Domes.
drones are strictly prohibited there and the trucks drive around and try to catch it. I go there all the time and heading up now to place where captain kirk death scene was filmed-I uploaded a video on it yesterday
@@primarytrainer1 that is not true at all and not sure why they told you that. it is all bare rock up there and heavily used. there are not the sligthtest restrictions on it. the actual death scene was filmed down from the top and below in the ravine. the spot they actually threw him off was actually filmed all the way around on the back side--the south side.
@@primarytrainer1 and the little bridge upon which they fought at the tippy top--the small 15 foot one? that is placed over a rivine on the trail JUST WEST of elephant rock. not even 500 feet west. it is hidden from the road just barely by the small hills. then off further west by walking is alot of the movie set parts including huge star trek emblem
Thanks for the kind words, Yongsung. This footage was all collected in one day. Everything is so close in the Valley of Fire that you can really get a great appreciation for the park in a short amount of time.
Hi Lihua, glad you liked the video. Pastel Canyon is close to the Fire Wave Trail. Once you get to the end of that Trail, you continue along a short wash that leads to a slot canyon. Can't miss it. As for the Windstone Arch, the best advice I can give is to ask the park service at the Visitor's Center. They're extremely helpful and should provide you with everything you need to know. If I tried to provide you with directions here, I'd undoubtedly get you lost!
wonderful video. at 2:45 did you name that rock formation "troll's tongue"? What was the trail called? I cant find a trolls tongue on google, not sure what to look for and I want to find that spot. thank you
Hey pnoipr8, thanks for the kind words. To answer your question, "Troll's Tongue" requires a little bit of off-trail, backcountry hiking from the Mouse's Tank trail. Once you get to the end of the trail (the "Tank" portion), you have to down climb from the well and hike east, parallel to the actual trail (which you will not be able to see because it will be blocked by buttes and mountains). It's a little complicated, and if route finding isn't your thing, I'm not sure I'd recommend it. But if you go, you're just about guaranteed to be the only person back there!
Nice video. Did you get a permit for use of a drone or are they allowed now? I saw online that drones were not permitted there but that post was back in 2016...
Hi there. I actually shot all drone footage in early 2014. Around that time, there weren’t really any restrictions in place. Nowadays, not so much. Hope that answers the question!
Hi Joan, I'm not sure what the "Fire Cave" is, but if you mean the picture on the thumbnail for this video, it requires a short trip on a dirt road right before the visitor's station. There's a pull out on your right hand side and the "cave" is near that pull out.
Great video! Did you have to get special permission to fly your drone? I want to hike there and I want to bring my drone. Did you have to present a commercial license?
Thanks for the kind words! To your question, all drone footage I captured was from early 2014, and there really weren't many regulations in place at that time. I'm not sure whether the Valley of Fire has its own unique restrictions now, but I would contact the park rangers to confirm.
You sold it!..we're going!
Thank you for your explore beutiful nature
Enjoyed your video. I just spent an incredible day in Valley of Fire. I need to go back and spend more time there.

I asked about hiking silica dome where Kirk died and they said it isn't allowed due to crypto biotic soils. Did you have to get permission?

Great job in shooting, editing and music selection. It's so beautiful. How long will it take to see all the places in the video?

Wow, that's great. I can't wait for your next adventure.
Thanks, Yongsung. Your videos are incredible, by the way. Hope to meet you in the Sierras one day!
That would be awesome! :)

awesome pictures and video. Is it easy to locate Pastel canyon and windstone arch, since they are not on the map?

Is it legal to fly your drone there?
When this was filmed, yes. But unsure about the legality of doing it now. I’d ask the rangers.
Stephen thanks 🙏 for the quick reply

too dark video...
Very nice and good music too. What kind of drone?
Thanks! Glad you liked the video. All drone footage was shot with a Phantom 3. This was some of the oldest drone footage I ever shot.
@@-Stephen- Phanthom 3 release date April 2015
Awesome footage 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I just visited here with my two toddlers and posted a video on my channel if you are interested.
is it legal to fly the drone over this place? I will go and want to take some footage
I’ve heard the rules have changed since this video was shot. I would confirm with the rangers.
Drones aren't allowed anymore.
where is Fire Cave located? Fantastic job !

Great editing but the exposure is low in some images
Amazing video! Like, Sub...
Thanks again for the kind words, World Travel! Glad you liked the video.

Not allowed to use a drone, now.
Looks like an old tailings dump from a huge mining operations
Looks like a Really good place to Beat Some Vegas Cheeks and Smash some Guts!!
Drones are not allowed in the park now.
Subway Surfers
Soundtrack sucks
Couldn't agree more.
