I doubt you'll read this a month after but, your words touched my soul. Utterly amazing. You really must share more. I have been working my way through your vlogs and think you guys are wonderful. Love your energy, the way you interact and of course, I adore Shanti. Looking forward to more from you in the future. Stay blessed, stay true. Huge hug. Tracy 🥰 🙏
Your poem was amazing!!! These aqueducts are so close to where I live & i have walked them all my life..... i cant walk over the Fron anymore though - joys of vertigo!! Enjoy your time here, it is a beautiful place. 💜🙏
Sharon we really appreciate this comment, it definitely does take a lot of time to edit these videos so to know you enjoy it and feel grateful makes it all worth it - and also Adam is very please you liked his poem :)
This was beautiful, what a lovely moment of support for Lauren to get off the boat and Adam take over , the poem was stunning thank you for being brave enough to share it ❤
The canals are beautiful, as are you both. Such beautiful souls. And your poetry is amazing. Spoke to my soul’s core. Please share it with the world. The human race needs it. Thank you. Namaste. 🙏
I’ve never watched your videos before, but this was great. Informative, with some great shots, and really liked your recital. You’ve earned a subscriber😊
This is a fabulous way of seeing the gorgeous country side. Lovely poem. I’m from wales. Not too far from llangollen. Pentre Broughton. Your video was great thankyou .Now I’m living in Ontario Canada
Wow, how cool is this!!!! Thank you for sharing, what a treasure to have in "your own back yard" being able to travel through. The poetry was amazing as well!!!! Safe and fun travels to you both!
This episode was soooo good! & LOVED the poem! Lauren I would’ve had a full blown panic attack as well, that is an insane drop off with just a little ledge! Going through the Snoqualmie railroad tunnel on tandem I had my first panic attack, The Mister had to sing to me the whole way through, he sang twinkle twinkle little star over a hundred times till we got through to the other side, me crying the whole time in panic mode, so I can relate to that fear. Safe travels 🥰💕
Omg the poem!!!! Brilliant!! Looking forward to hearing more :) lovely video again you guys always radiate such a beautiful energy 🌻 love and gratitude xx
So incredible. What a journey. I've seen some people canoe or kayak through the canal crossing the valley at Pontcysyllte. They were seated lower, and they were preoccupied with keeping their craft moving (and they didn't mention the gravity flow) So that is another way. I've had panic attacks - the feelings just come out of their own accord. I think I didn't understand how precarious you might feel, at that height, I'm sorry if I minimized those feelings elsewhere. Great idea to pull on the rope. Your poem is heartfelt Adam - really good to hear, especially with the quiet guitar sounds. Please continue to share anytime
I hope you guys are OK? It's almost February and we are missing your updates, and especially how you've managed in some of the shocking British winter weather we've been having!
Hi Adam - it was good to meet you today on the Wild in Brum project - it was good to chat about the great reasons for being involved with the canals - I loved this video and look forward to seeing what adventures you have! Best Wishes Nicola
So when you were talking about reciting your poem I was thinking "oh boy, were about to get a good laugh" but that was actually an awesome poem that resonates with me a ton. I wish I could print it out or something .
Wonderful vid, and Adam's poem just summed up human existence. My dad worked at the nearby Monsanto chemical factory (the whole area stank of sulphur compounds until the 60s) before the war; he and his young mates would walk over the "Accie" on the *outside* of the railings. A friend, also young at the time, lived in Froncysyllte and used to cycle over the bridge - until one night she fell in, couldn't climb out, and had to push her bike in the canal half a mile to the ramp at Fron! That poem again... 🙂 You've mastered the Welsh "ll" very well, Adam, so you're half way to getting "Pontcysyllte" right. The letter 'c' is always pronounced like 'k' in Welsh, and the 'y' can vary. An approximate phonetic pronunciation which will serve anyone who can't yet do the 'll' is 'Pont-cuss-ulth-teh'. Da iawn, guys!
Hello! Thank you for your comment and we are happy you enjoyed the video! We cant believe people used to climb on the OUTSIDE of the railings that's crazy!! Glad our pronunciation is getting better also :)
Great vlog, really enjoyed watching you both have a great time on the Llangollen Canal. We just visited the Pontcysylte aqueduct last week, a beautiful peaceful place. Thanks and good luck. 👍
Hello You Three - greetings from Poland. This is my favourite video that you three have ever made! It has everything - superb photography, great drone shots, brilliant commentary, raw emotions, fear, smiles and laughter. Your poem Adam was exceptional. Very well written and written from the heart. Fabulous scenery, gorgeous colours, two aquaducts and very kind and friendly strangers. Absolutley fantastic. See you again very soon. Stay safe please
Really thought provoking and relevant poem going forward and amazing footage capturing the breathtaking landscape and engineering genius of a bygone era. Thanks John
Thanks a lot John, we are really glad you found the poem thought-provoking and we appreciate the compliments on the drone footage, it has definitely made us want to get one!
I’ve crossed the aqueduct many times but on a trip recently my legs randomly went all weak whilst steering so I get it 🫣 …. horrible feeling. I remember my Mum telling me how it happened to her half way over a pedestrian walkway once and she ended up crawling on all fours! Loved the poem and thank you for all the great vlogs.
Hi from Australia, just came across your post on fb and then watched your video, it's truly amazing, what an adventure you guys are having. Continue to enjoy stay safe. I have now subscribed so look forward to seeing your next one. Cheers from Aus
Incredible sights, you two are so blessed and it is refreshing to follow your life. Thank you for that really meaningful poem. I am here for it :) good vibes dear friends!
My very first attempt at ‘driving’ a narrow boat was a hire boat from Chirk Marina. On our second day we crossed both aqueducts. The Chirk one was lovely. The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct was terrifying! Both ways! We had to take the hire boat back. Subscribed 😀
Poor Lauren, I just wanted to give her a cuddle. I’m not into poems but yours was good and it got me thinking, there were bits where you could have taken a break then Benny from Ben and Emily could have came in with one of his songs then both could have gone back and forth, try it and I’d like 10% of the royalties please 😂😂😂
America here. Understand Lauren's wobble. It's beautiful and not actually that long. Just a smidge under 2 tenths of a mile length but that drop over the teeny ledge.😱
At this time of year, leaves on the propeller can slow the boat down. They sink into the water, and build up around the prop and reduce its efficency; it can have quite an effect in slowing you down. Occasionally, give the prop a blast in reverse and that clears the leaves until next time. Great video, lovely countryside, Safe journey
Hey Jinx, so glad the poem resonated as Adam was slightly nervous to share it so its lovely to read your words, welcome to the channel and we hope you enjoy the rest of our videos :)
Well done on the improved pronunciation :) Great video as always and on my favourite stretch of canal. You'll notice a massive difference going back as the current really takes you. And no disgrace getting the heebie-jeebies on the aqueduct Lauren as on our crossing I was petrified. That 3 inch edge before the sheer drop actually wobbles if you hit it - that was enough for me to leave it to the wife to steer the boat and walk, sorry guide her, from the footpath, ha ha ha
Thanks Simon, glad to know the pronunciation has improved! And we definitely could of waited to hear about the wobbly edge till after we have crossed back! lol
Lovely video again Lauren you may have had a touch of vertigo which I know he’s not very nice loved the poem Adam maybe that could be an ongoing thing in your videos loved that part of the country spent many a day in Whitchurch and ElsmereAs a young man love and peace looking forward to your next one
Thanks for your kind words, yes a few people have mentioned Lauren may have been feeling a little bit of vertigo - not something we had considered! I am really grateful you liked my poem, I was nervous to share it but would love to share more in the future :)
Incredible and breath taking… 💕. Please turn those beautiful words of poetry into a folk song that matches the melody you play on your guitar. (They sounded almost like a slow Rap and didn’t do the words justice).
I was thinkin the same thing and then i found them on tik tok. They’ve been updating on there and seems to be ok. I actually think they are in India on a vacation

Over the aqueduct, my wife yelled, F#@k that!
The canal bridge is absolutely a piece of art
that poem was moving brought a tear to me and my partners eyes

Safe travels 🥰💕
