Nice job on the MOC. I do have a question….are you not concerned about the sunlight fading your bricks? Seems like a large part of your city sits directly in front of that large window. I have bought a lot of secondhand bricks in the past and many times I had to discard some bricks due to colour fading or yellowing, especially with white bricks.
It's a North facing window with little direct sunlight. Yeah, there is sun damage in especially the white pieces of some of the oldest sets. But it's also the best place to display the city in my house so it's a compromise I'm aware of.
Can't believe people are already modifying their sets. I ordered mine at around 5 minutes after midnight on New Years Day and it still hasn't arrived. Bit unfair and unreasonable to be perfectly honest.
It sucks that yours hasn't arrived. I know I'm lucky that I live close to multiple Lego Stores and can get them in person the morning of release. There was also a ton of prep involved to get my mods done as fast as I did. I designed and bricklinked the needed extra pieces for my modifications over a month ago when the set first was revealed. I used a speed build video as a guide to digitally recreate the section I was adding and pre-built everything a could (the first time-lapse you see in this video) well before the actual set was released.
I use Bricklink Stud.io It's got just about every available part and color and once you're done you can export your inventory directly to a Bricklink wanted list.
Wow... you modded this quickly... I'm genuinely impressed. It looks great!
Thanks!
Props to you for getting this video out so early after the set was released! Nice job adjusting things, makes it look so much better!
Thanks! I was trying to get the video for it out as quickly as I could. Luckily I had the week off from work and had time to build and edit.
Great mods! Very well thought out.
I love that expanded New Orleans jazz club!!!
Thanks! I'll do a video on that one later once I decide what I want to in the upper floors. At the moment they are empty.

You probably have mentioned this a million times, but can you note what software you are using to create your proposed rebuilds?

Wow. Rebrickable with the instructions?
Possibly in the future. I'm not currently set up on rebrickable
@JacobThomasEmery well sir. I love this set and yours take it to the next level
