Ott ൽ different languages movie series കാണാൻ തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോ ആളുകളുടെ expectations കൂടി. ചാനലുകളിൽ പോലും സിനിമകൾ കാണുന്നവർ കുറഞ്ഞു. Serial പ്രേക്ഷകർ മാത്രം ആയിരിക്കും ഇപ്പോ ചാനലിൽ സിനിമകൾ കാണുന്നവർ. സമൂഹത്തിൽ ഉണ്ടാവുന്ന മാറ്റങ്ങൾ മനസ്സിലാക്കാതെ reviewers നെ കുറ്റം പറഞ്ഞിട്ട് എന്ത് കാര്യം!

Usually, I watch Unni's review after watching the movie (if I plan to watch it), and sometimes I also have a difference of opinion with him. Still, I go through his review to understand his perspective on the movie, and to be honest, his way of presentation is exceptional. I used to feel he has a therapeutic voice. It is always good to listen to a different perspective as well. So, for me, I don’t personally think any reviewer's opinion would impact the movie to an extent that could push a good movie to failure. However, a movie that lacks craftsmanship, no reviewer can save it either. I hope filmmakers realize this fact.

It's really not right for a director to threaten someone for their review. Reviews are meant to be personal opinions, and everyone should have the freedom to express their thoughts. Unni should continue doing what he loves and sharing his honest reviews. We're here to support him.

I personally love his reviews even though I disagree with some of his negative arguments of films. But that's how it is. Everyone has a different opinion for everything and it is his perspective. Everyone should respect that. Keep going Unni and never change the way you do your reviews. It makes you unique.

Otherwise it affect and distort our view of the movie . It even happens to unni.
For me i know i wil be influenced by a reviewer so i watch the movie first before watching reviews so i could form my opinion first then agree or disagree with them and have healthy conversations about this art medium we all love.
Unni is one of the good reviewers who is doing his job decently. If anyone is having problems or disagreements with his reviews, they should also react in a decent way .May be that director was emotionally triggered. But it cannot justify his actions.Bullying and threatening a person is a crime!

Movies are products like any other, and their success or failure depends on whether consumers find them valuable. Just like any other company, the movie industry must adapt to market demands and provide quality products to survive. There is no need to offer special sympathy to the movie industry or its workers compared to other sectors. Ultimately, success in the free market is driven by consumer satisfaction, not the amount of effort or money invested.

But if genuinely I get an opinion about a film after watching, how can it be changed or influenced by others openion about the same? No matter how many openions we hear from others, our perspective about or the feel which we got from the film can't be changed or waved off if it's true. Openion is something which we stick on to in spite of many other people telling many other view points from all around. If the fear of distorting the openion arise, then the question arises if at all the openion or feel which u get from movie is genuine?

when anyone creates any form of art or service , get criticism and if they cannot take it they should think twice about their future in their respective career, they are allowed to be angry , they can take out the anger by giving their best in the next venture and prove the critics wrong . I think that's what real confident people should do..
As for the director who verbally abused unni did not realize that this audio clip will always be in the archives of internet for ever , he should have thought twice before doing that . And this will always be a black mark in his career at the mind of people . And the funny thing is I personally think this was supposed to be a cheep trick to save his ass from the producers but went horribly wrong .
While am with you guys and agree that the Director's response was unforgivable, let me ask you a question..... What was the need for Unni to mention that there were only 3 People who had booked for the movie when he arrived at the theatre ? How does that even matter in a Movie review or even remotely connected with the quality of that movie (or any movie for that matter) ?? There have been great films in history which failed to bring people to the theatres and also not at all great movies which for which people have flocked.... I think that remark had nothing to do with a Movie Review and should've been avoided.....

Both money and time are valuable for everyone. So the movie makers shouldn’t waste the movie viewers valuable time and money.

Unni vlogs opinions are normally very superficial. He comes in and looks at movies from his PoV and delivers a completely shallow review. The only decision someone can make from his opinion is whether someone should go or not go for the movie. Unni said the movie had only 3 people in the audience, so it’s already a disaster and he comes in and says it’s very bad. What benefit is he or anyone getting with his sarcasm ridden opinions. Who is he really catering to? He tends to be politically correct - what if his comments led to directors anxiety or drag him into mental breakdown. Are these opinions with its unhindered and widespread impact - ethically, morally or politically correct?
