    Yummy. I remember ask a kid my Dad making this, so good. When I'm making it for my Mom I used Browning and not sugar because she is diabetic.

    😳😍😍😍Good lord voman! I’ve been talking about making pigtail oil down or soup recently and my mom screw up her face, my friend said it too hot to eat that and I haven’t made it yet but this is a nice alternative.
    Thanks for the inspiration!!! Will make it and eat it by myself 😂

    I never saw fresh.pigtail being sold here in T and T but I suppose it will be the same as pork pelau. The colour was.beautiful...lovely garden👍👍

    I will be making this on the weekend for my husband. Ria have you ever seen red pigtail. All my life living in Trinidad I have never seen red pigtail. Living in the UK London and today is the first time I have ever seen blood red pigtail.

    Thanks for a wonderful Video, As a E.R. Doctor, I sometimes don't have time to cook a really good meal, and I Love to eat the Foods from my Parants home of Trinidad and Tobago.. So i cook up a One pot, Pig tail and chicken Palau, in my Pressure Cooker in About 12 minutes @ my home here in Chicago, USA 🇺🇸, and its a little much more Ingredients than i use in Cooking A Trinidadian Roots Meal....👩🏾‍🦳❤🇺🇲✡🇹🇹🍻👍

    Love piggy tail ( gremlin use to call it that ) but in my home got some seniors with BP issues but don't tell them piggy tail is a no no. So I've taken to putting tail into the pressure cooker to reduce salt and soften . They happy again. So piggy tail peleau still on my menu.
    Wish I got unsalted tail at home
    As usual enjoyed the dishe. And u stay blessed.

    Ria do you keep the heat of your stove low or medium while browning the sugar. Please let me know. You have a beautiful garden.

      Start medium and then reduce to low when it starts smoking--and get the meat ready to throw in the pot!

    Tia pigtail pelau looks delicious, but I always put my coconut milk first with the meat. I have learnt a different method today. I am from sweet Trinidad and Tobago. Is there unsalted pigtail.

    Does the sugar make it sweet. Don’t really care for sweet food. Can you use browning sauce instead.

      maria harthartmar No it’s not sweet. We are essentially making our own browsing with the sugar-cooking from scratch as they say. I am sure you could add browning instead but never personally used it in my stews. Thanks for your question.
