- A short ferry ride from Cancun to the magic of Isla Mujeres! It was captivating, fun and ultra safe. It’s the perfect escape and addition to a Cancun itinerary. We did a day trip but absolutely would not mind spending an extra 2 or 3 days on this beautiful island.
How to get there:
Ultramar Ferry 540mxn pp (roundtrip), 20 min ride from Puerto Juarez in Cancun
What to do:
Isla Mujeres Golf Carts Joaquin - great rental prices on golf carts and scooters, a block from the ferry terminal
Punta Sur - southern most point on the island, home to Mayan sculptures and what’s left of the temple of Mayan Goddess Ixchel
Garrafon Park (honorable mention) - dope natural reef park we passed on the way to Punta Sur. Next trip we’re getting tickets to enjoy kayaking, snorkeling and ziplining
Playa Norte - right off of Centro, this beach is popular amongst locals and tourists.

I went to Isla Mujeres last Saturday and it was amazing! The water was beautiful and the ppl there are awesome!
Was there two weeks ago when we got to the island we got a golf cart and on our way to south point we stopped at a small convenience store and filled the folding vinyl ice chest we took with ice and a cold 12 pack of beer and proceeded with exploring the island .
One of the coolest places!
When we were there we took the public bus at the ferry. For like a few bucks you can ride all around the island, from southpoint to northpoint. Its like a hop on hop off bus and it runs every 15 minutes. I wish it was availiable on the other Yacatan islands, Cozumel and Holbox. By the way, you must visit Holbox. We went over a year ago for our anniversary weekend and we loved it. We had a suite at the Marriott Mystique, but there are lots of great places to stay there. Enjoy Mexico again!

If I had a dollar for every time I've been singled out to be searched while traveling, I'd be able to buy one of those $15 taco plates. Though thanks to you guys I know to go into the hood to get some reasonably priced tacos from Tacos Deliciosos.
Hit and ....delicioso! We've only been here a few weeks and have had our paperwork checked 5 times....a bigger story is coming once we can figure out what it is.
@@TheYarbrosI got racially profiled in CDMX and left a bad taste in my mouth staying in Colonia Roma. I went to Cancun and Playa Del Carmen felt like a tourist trap. Of course I had great experiences as well but where are the drugs as a solo traveller. I’m Good!

I fell in love with Isla and then I went to La Paz and fell in love with La Paz.

When we went to Isla Mujeres we definitely went with no true MUST SEE's so I need a REDO. lol My husband and I definitely enjoyed the experience. I think we saw a Prison while on the island.
