Honestly I don't like chess, maybe its too abstract or too punishing idk. I do love other boardgames, especially board wargames.

Like what kind of wargames you talkin'?
Personally, I think Risk is a little Ameritrash, but some of the recent licensed versions have been fun. Definitely about Smallworld and Spirit Island, if you'll allow me to call that a wargame lol.
