I work at a vet clinic and we mostly go by body condition rather than the number on the scale. Mostly because we rarely see a pure breed. It’s a mutt of some kind and Twinky is definitely mixed. She’s still definitely overweight based on what I can see.
I’m more and more convinced her mental energy she professes goes towards dieting, figuring out a diet that works for her, dealing with her emotional eating, is actually energy she spends figuring out how to manipulate and twist daily life so she can prove as a morbidly obese person that she can do every single thing everyone else does that she’s interested in.
