Hi Dude , thanks for watching , just to let you know I often watch your Videos as I find you cover the bits other Videos leave out - Cheers from the UK .
6:30 I'm not familiar with these. Is the step only used for the scan function? Or is is a problem to listen to 8.33 kHz frequencies? If it's just for the scan, where do you select the RF bandwidth? I'm an aviation enthusiast looking for a multi-purpose radio, not a Ham.
Thanks for the great video. Nevertheless, I wanted to ask you what may cause the radio not showing up in COM connection while turned off prior to updating firmware. It does show connection while powered on though.
Thank you for that video Andreas. At the beginning when you did the reset screen (PTT/Star/turn on). What should one select 1. Ham, 2.GMRS or 3.Normal?
Don't worry about microwatt "spurious emissions" from a five watt radio. The American FCC raised that to limit the number of Chinese radios entering the US.
@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones I've had an eye on this for weeks. There are only two other significant videos on this radio. Ham radio dude from yesterday and gadget talk. Ham radio dude ran into issues and it is interesting to know if those are repeatable.
Hi it would be good to hear the quality of the airband if it is a true AM detector ? and a comparison between the air band on the Quansheng and this TidRadio ? best regards Alan
@HamTechRadioScannerDrones We're do i find the frequency for pmr446 and frs? Could i have the radios set on both frequencies? Because we live in the usa but we travel to Europe as well and we will be using them in both frequencies
The only mild irritation is the lack of a dust cover for the charge USB port but there are free 3D print models available to make your own little plug.
@@bobinmontana777 It's less about water and more about dust and other particles. In some areas the desert dust can be alkaline and if you get enough caked in there it can short connections. caked on dust plus moisture makes it even more likely
Just finished my video and now am catching up . Good job.

This isn't the best device to choose try a Uniden 125 .
@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones Thank you for your input. But I was more looking for a $30 radio rather than a $200 scanner...

Turn radio off select start firmware then hold finger on PTT and turn radio on .
What was the DTMF used for?? Do you have a video that talks about that? How is it used on the TD-H3?
Tones to activate Rpeaters and Gateways/ Nodes

See what you have I like Ham
What is the purpose of the numbers at the top of the screen (0 2 3 4 5)? I never see anything displayed there.
Signal Meter
When does it show anything? I haven't seen it in action yet, either on receive or during transmit. @@HamTechRadioScannerDrones
Do you plan to test power output, spurious emissions, battery capacity, charging times, and scanning speed?

Loads have already done this.

Although it is unknown, I have a couple of electronic devices using a waterproof, though exposed, USB C, they simply prevent water intrusion.

@@Tsch6373 Yeah that cheap set is a great deal, had I seen that I wouldn't have gone through the trouble to print some.
Unrelated, did you get a chance to try the text messaging function on the quansheng joaquimorg firmware?

Can you show me how to set up a GMRS repeater on ham mode? Do I need an offset if I’m just listening? Sorry for the newbie questions.
I see advertised td h3 gmrs radio for sale . Is it the same as td h3 ham radio ? Can the gmrs version be unlocked, like the ham version ?
