We are to repent of "two" things: 1.) our sins 2. dead works There are "two" kinds of dead works: 1.) works done to be seen by men 2.) works done to get into heaven. Cornelius did not appear to be doing works to be seen, but to get into heaven. Let us examine ourselves carefully. Why do we do the works we do? "Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you--unless, of course, you fail the test?" 2 Corinthians 13:5
