Super useful video thank you :) I am having an issue though - when looking at the result in CFD Post the only flow with changing variables is within the rotating region, the rest of the flow is stationary. The streamlines also don't seem to appear. Any idea what I might've done wrong?
Modeling a fan in CATIA or Solidworks is gonna be hectic. I suggest you try openVSP where you give in parameters and the model is done. And then import it to Ansys

Even though it might be too late, what he did was ctrl+a (selected all faces), then deselected the outside faces to get the blade. You can also do it by use box select in face select mode

bro what steps are you doing in 8.40 for selecting just the propeller because i triy to do it but the whole inner domain is delected.
Ctrl+A and then Ctrl+F all surfaces of the solid until only the propeller remains

but when you have a rotating domain, are you not also artificially rotating any air that goes into that domain? or is only the mesh rotating?
