The next one will be an even tougher opponent - NYCFC... 3rd Seed... and we've never beat them! Whether we win or lose this upcoming game, I'm just hoping that these last 4 games that didn't result in losses will help us gather enough knowledge with a good competitive mindframe going into our next 4 games afterward in which 3 are bottom-dwelling teams with our 1 sunshine derby rival (Chicago, Toronto, Orlando City, and Cincinnati)!
What a win.. Miami dominated the 1st half and suffered a set piece goal on the 2nd quarter but what a bounce back the big difference is that they are more aggressive and going after the ball comparing to the other games…
Super happy for Indiana Vassilev as an Aston Villa fan - had some real bad luck with his last couple of loan spells before this one, but what a time to score the first goal of his professional career! The loan looks to be doing wonders for him, really hope that continues.
"helped bring the game to life?" Dude, Inter Miami was schooling Nashville SC throughout the entire game before Vassilev (with an assist from Frederico Higuain) finally ended their misery!
Though Higuain scored the goal, give credit to Blaise Matuidi who actually played great and Phil Neville for finally putting Shawcross in his rightful place to be benched in the first half before switching in later in the game!
We have to be done with Cadiz at this point. There is no excuse as a DP for being THAT wide open and costing your team three points when you had all the time in the world to bury that past the keeper.
He played for the Fort Lauderdale Strikers and coached the Miami Fusion at that very site (they tore the old Lockhart Stadium down but built the existing stadium on the same land)
Indeed they were... and even I was shocked at that! Going into this game, collecting only 2 losses the entire season after a 9-game loss-less streak with supposedly one of the best defenses of our conference... and Miller lost control of the ball giving Blaise (who usually plays under expectations) that opportunity to pass it right up to a correctly-positioned Gonzalo Higuain to tie the game right before their defense gave up another goal. BUT TO BE FAIR, the temperature in this game was about 100+ degrees and I can imagine the hot day turned to a humid dusk that might have taken effect on the men in Indigo and Yellow!
@@TombMen Oh yeah I'm well aware, but if he had to pick a retirement soccer club to play in, he'd choose Inter Miami because he bought a condo in Florida somewhat near the northern part of the Miami Metropolitan.
You could blame the weather for this one - it was HOT at the start, HUMID at the second half (trust me, I drove past the stadium and looked at the temperature status from my car... 100+ degrees). Otherwise, I agree with what you said - 9 loss-less streak because of incredible defense, 5th in the standings, and they get completely outclassed to my Herons? The bottom feeders of the Eastern Conference? That's a shocker! But the bigger picture is that Inter Miami is now starting to click together, and our next game against NYCFC will be the deciding factor to how well we've gotten collecting 4 games without a loss after the 7 losses in a row we collected beforehand!
Honestly... EVERYONE (not just Gonzalo and Frederico) played fantastic. Offense and Midfielders continued to pressure Nashville to rely on their defense majority of the game as they kept pushing forward with possession and passes ranging from short to long-range AND OUR DEFENSE actually played the best it has EVER looked this season (a story not usually sung in the Heron's second season) as they outclassed Nashville's lackluster offense!
Which one, because the team that is trash played fantastic the entire game (Inter Miami) and the team that's 5th in standings with 9 games of no losses played like hot garbage (Nashville)!

It was anticipating and well-deserved... the way we outclassed Nashville this game, I would be perturbed if this wasn't a win!

Vassilev was always a regular scorer in our youth team, nice to see him on the scoresheet.
On the right track!! Vamos Miami!!

That’s a beautiful goal in a beautiful stadium 🏟💯

@@lrobles99 You think the weather may have had an effect on Nashville playing extremely underwhelming?
Ray Hudson my guy
Hate to say it, but Nashville SC was unusually flat-footed and was outplayed most of this match by an increasingly impressive Miami attack.

They aren't getting him or Messi, at least not until 2023/24 and even then those two would have to take GIGANTIC pay cuts.
Inter 👏
To lose to Inter Miami?? This should’ve been an easy three points but we played passive and lost the game. This is how Old Nashville used to play.
This is how Nashville always plays. Its how Gary Smith always plays.
