We deeply apologize for forgetting to mention Mienshao’s Sword and Shield VGC placements It was still quite a niche pick but it had a few notable placements with the highest placement being Daniel Quek at both the players cup 3 qualifier and getting 9th at the players cup 3 finals! Congratulations to Daniel!
At Sword and Shield Mienshao got another useful buff in VGC: now Inner Focus not only blocks Fake Out but it also makes it immune to Intimidate, allowing it to give a really hard time to "king" Incineroar.
Back in Gen 6, this thing was everywhere. Fake Out, High Jump Kick, U Turn, and either leftovers to sustain or lens to reduce miss. And it worked, every *damn* time. Slap, kick, pivot. It was unnaturally good at destroying momentum and wearing down mons 1v1.

Mienshao's pre-evolved form, Mienfoo, is incredible in Gen 7 Little Cup, with U-Turn, it's a fast and versatile pivot, with access to the massive-damage-inducing High Jump Kick, which gets boosted by its Hidden Ability, Reckless; as well as Drain Punch in order to heal any recoil you take from High Jump Kick. Plus, it gets the best move in Little Cup, Knock Off.

I love mienshao using shed tail before shed tail was a thing
One sentence in, and I'm hooked. Excellent!
Mienshao is one of my favorite Pokemon since I played B/W. It's the generation I got into competitive mainly because of Mienshao. I could tell how well-made and versatile it was, one of the most fun Pokémon to use
Do a remake for Staraptor next
Also mention its performance in bdsp
I’m pretty sure I saw someone use Mienshao in Gen 8 VGC because I remember seeing one OHKO Calerex Shadow Rider before.
Whoever thought of Meinshao to counter both Incenerior & Calyrex in doubles I have to give credit to. Countering Calyrex & Incenerior in 1 Pokemon is crazy
We also NEED to talk about mienfu in lc
Mienshao has one of my favorite pokemon designs it’s just so perfect

What in the unholy god forsaken pits of hell is that team. Aromatise and alomamola are already off picks but QUILLADEN. What grass types were they smoking and where can I try?
Love this line! Favorite fighting type of all time!
